About this JobThis position provides executive-level leadership and oversight of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries' statewide licensing, boat registration and titling programs. It ensures these programs operate efficiently, accurately and in compliance with applicable laws while providing quality service to recreational and commercial customers, boat owners, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
Minimum QualificationsEight years of experience in wildlife and fisheries programs, wildlife conservation enforcement, accounting, financial auditing, information technology, or procurement; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus five years of experience in wildlife and fisheries programs, wildlife conservation enforcement, accounting, financial auditing, information technology, or procurement; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in wildlife and fisheries programs, wildlife conservation enforcement, accounting, financial auditing, information technology, or procurement; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in wildlife and fisheries programs, wildlife conservation enforcement, accounting, financial auditing, information technology, or procurement.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
-Oversees staff, licensing systems and vendor, policies and procedures, revenue processes and regulatory compliance.
-Works with internal and external partners to resolve issues, implement changes and ensure timely and accurate licensing and registration services.

Current permanent status classified state employees may be required to accept a Probational appointment if selected.
