About this opportunity
ELITS is looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to support radio access network planning, design, tuning, and optimization. You will work with advanced fourth-generation and fifth-generation mobile systems in multi-vendor environments, helping improve coverage, capacity, and overall network quality.
You will analyze network behavior, interpret performance data and drive-test results, and propose practical changes that improve customer network performance. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with close collaboration between ELITS teams and customer stakeholders.
What you will do:
• Design, tune, and optimize radio frequency networks for advanced wireless systems.
• Analyze events and address accessibility, retainability, and handover success issues.
• Create and manage projects in radio planning tools, including tilt and azimuth optimization and new site proposals.
• Interpret drive-test data and performance statistics to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Recommend parameter changes and feature activations to improve live network performance.
• Evaluate the impact of additional carriers and inter-radio access technology procedures on network quality.
• Review key performance indicators and make recommendations to improve network performance.
• Coordinate technical activities with project teams and customer contacts.
The skills you bring:
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent applicable experience.
• Recent experience in radio network design, implementation, tuning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of fourth-generation and fifth-generation technologies, including New Radio, Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output, millimeter wave, License Assisted Access, Internet of Things, Citizens Broadband Radio Service, and multi-vendor environments.
• Good understanding of Layer 3 messaging and how it relates to network behavior and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with radio planning and optimization tools such as Planet EV, Atoll, TEMS Investigation, Actix, Agilent, and Rohde & Schwarz.
• Ability to work with link budgets, project setup in planning platforms, and site location planning.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret performance data and drive-test results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage expectations, and travel extensively within the United States as required.
