Windows Endpoint Engineer for a Cloud and Technology company located in Morrisville, NC. The
Windows Endpoint Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for both physical and Microsoft Virtual Desktop (MVD) environments.
The Windows Endpoint Engineer role is a hybrid position located in Morrisville, NC Responsibilities of the Windows Endpoint Engineer Include: - Lead the design, deployment, and support of enterprise endpoint solutions across Windows, virtual desktop, and macOS environments, including Microsoft Virtual Desktop (MVD) and Jamf.
- Manage endpoint administration and co-management strategies using Intune, SCCM (MECM), and Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) to deliver secure software distribution, imaging, and device configuration.
- Administer identity and security technologies, including Azure AD, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Duo MFA, and device certificate-based authentication.
- Implement and maintain CMMC Level 2 / NIST SP 800-171 compliant endpoint security controls, including BitLocker, FileVault, encryption key management, and device hardening.
- Support enterprise data protection initiatives through integration with Azure Purview, secure data exchange platforms, and endpoint governance controls.
- Manage endpoint security operations, including S/MIME certificate lifecycle management, threat detection, endpoint isolation, and remediation activities.
Qualifications of the Windows Endpoint Engineer include: - Ability to work in the U.S. with 7+ years of experience in enterprise endpoint engineering, systems administration, desktop management, and directory services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM (MECM), Cloud Management Gateway (CMG), Microsoft Virtual Desktop (MVD), and Windows endpoint management.
- Proven expertise with Azure AD, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint security architecture.
- Experience implementing and supporting CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 compliance requirements, including BitLocker, FileVault, S/MIME certificates, and encryption technologies.
- Familiarity with macOS device management using Jamf and enterprise data governance solutions including Azure Purview and secure data exchange platforms.
Compensation for the Windows Endpoint Engineer include: - $100,000-$130,000 annually
