Job Summary
The Windchill PDMLink Business Analyst will be directly involved in gathering requirements, analyzing solution options, creating functional specifications and designs, developing test scripts, and executing test scripts in accordance with established software lifecycle methodologies. The role will support Windchill implementation, business and system administration, data migration, and PLM process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather and analyze business and functional requirements for Windchill PDMLink solutions.
• Evaluate solution options and create functional specifications and designs.
• Develop and execute test scripts following established software lifecycle methodologies.
• Provide best practices for managing data and processes within Windchill.
• Serve as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, the PLM Delivery Team, and other IT teams.
• Work as a key project resource for the IT Project Manager, taking day-to-day work direction and accepting accountability for functional aspects of the implementation.
• Identify appropriate tools and processes to enable smooth functioning of Windchill.
• Design and develop tools to enhance Windchill system and business administration.
• Perform data migrations from other systems into PLM systems.
• Drive requirements and project activities through completion.
• Participate in formal design reviews and support validated system implementations.
• Collaborate with project teams and individual contributors in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Leverage and engage appropriate resources to accomplish project objectives.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of relevant Windchill experience.
• Strong Windchill functional knowledge and implementation experience.
• Experience with Windchill containers, types, security, reports, workflows, lifecycles, and change management.
• Experience with data migration into PLM systems.
• Experience gathering requirements, analyzing solutions, developing functional specifications, and creating test scripts.
• Experience with implementing validated systems.
• Experience participating in formal design reviews.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently across parallel efforts.
• Ability to drive requirements and project work through to closure.
• Ability to work effectively both as a team member and individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to leverage and engage others to accomplish project objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience implementing Windchill solutions within regulated industries such as Life Sciences or Medical Devices.
