Overview

Willow Well Tie-In Facility Engineer

Position Summary:

The Willow WTI Facility Engineer will be part of the Willow Engineering & Systems Integration Team, supporting the DS Project Integration & Interface Lead. This role focuses on surface engineering and planning support for development drilling, frac, flowback and well tie-in to temporary and permanent facilities and supports simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) planning and optimization.

This position is located primarily in Anchorage, Alaska and may include travel to the North Slope and other locations to support WTI and pre-drill planning, and execution starting in Q1 2027.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support development of first and subsequent 90 day field execution plan for Willow development drilling
  • Technical and financial evaluation of surface facilities scope in support of well tie-ins and temporary drilling and completions support infrastructure (eg Frac and flowback equipment, temporary power, pre-drill well data collection, etc.)
  • Support design and build out of Willow WTI well delivery organization; regularly interface with base business unit peers to ensure long term well delivery and WTI program success and optimization.
  • Identify and develop mitigations for execution threats; identify and capitalize on opportunities and lessons learned
  • Work collaboratively with other Willow functions and disciplines and the AKBU Wells team to deliver 2027 drilling, frac, and flowback programs in conjunction with drillsite facilities execution.


Qualification Requirements:

Basic / Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • 3+ years of facilities experience on the North Slope
  • High awareness of safe working practices in drillsite operations, frac, flowback and associated well operations
  • Ability and willingness to travel to the North Slope as well as other locations domestically
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications


Preferred:
  • 10+ years of previous North Slope experience with a demonstrated understanding of drillsite operations and surface facilities and infrastructure engineering support, from drilling to production
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline, multi-function project environment with numerous stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative, operable, maintainable and technically sound solutions to surface facilities installation
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking skills, including application of technology to enhance human technical and analytical performance
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to work with rapidly shifts scopes of work and priorities
  • Highly competent interpersonal and influencing skills to tactfully manage ambiguity and conflict, and ultimately resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the company
