Job Summary:

The Wholesale Account Executive helps clients navigate complex technology decisions by delivering strategic, high-impact solutions that drive business growth. By combining deep technical knowledge with consultative sales expertise, the AE ensures clients receive tailored services that meet evolving connectivity and infrastructure needs. They strengthen long-term client relationships, expand market presence, and contribute directly to the company's innovation and revenue goals.

This position is a work-from-home role. The preferred work location is within our Midco footprint of South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas or Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities and sell advanced technology products and services to new and existing Wholesale clients.
  • Develop and provide sales consultations on technology solutions, including but not limited to: Ethernet and internet bandwidth, optical networking, direct fiber solutions, wireless connectivity, data center/co-location, and telecommunications services.
  • Collaborate within and outside departments to find creative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the customer's business and influence the selling of services and products across an organization.
  • Participate in capital projects and coordinate the sales team's project efforts.
  • Interpret and address competitive offers and produce innovative, successful counter-offers.
  • Coordinate with technical personnel to ensure consistency, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit new customers increase the Wholesale client base.
  • Achieve or exceed defined sales goals.
  • Develop and deliver professional sales presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential and existing clients, within your department, and within the community.
  • Work with clients to collect outstanding balances.
  • Accurately prepare customer estimates and contracts.
  • Accurately forecast opportunities and performance throughout the year within an average of 15% of month end sales. Utilize CRM systems as required.
  • Mentor team members and assist them in successfully engaging advanced sales opportunities.
  • Produce and analyze comprehensive reports and maintain accurate documentation as directed.
  • Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco's "Use of Vehicle for Company Business" policy.
  • Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience required with proven track record to consistently meet/exceed corporate objectives/quotas.
  • Previous experience selling large wholesale businesses.
  • Strong telecommunication background and experience selling or working with LAN/WAN and Ethernet technologies.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of business networking, including, but not limited to the following: IP routing/switching, VoIP, MPLS, Layer II/III concepts, and telecommunication services.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, IT, or similar area of study.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. The actual base salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors including internal equity, location, and the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for target sales incentives of $70,000. The sales incentive plan includes the opportunity to earn more than the target compensation for individuals who exceed their sales goals.

  • Frequent offsite visits to businesses.

Physical Demands:
  • May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.
