Position Summary
The Sr Collections Analyst role requires a strong understanding of credit and collections processes, as well as SAP billing systems. This position focuses on conducting detailed collections-based account investigations, reconciliations, and other reporting to optimize cash flow, minimize bad debt, and effectively manage collection performance. The Analyst leverages industry best practices and subject matter expertise to enhance processes, particularly within Energy Assistance programs and external collections referral pathways. This role demands strong analytical capabilities to resolve complex issues and develop innovative, resource-efficient solutions. Operating with a high degree of independence, the Sr Collections Analyst serves as a key resource to less experienced team members.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with collections agencies to build strong, trusting, and result-driven partnerships that support an efficient collections process and ensure the timely resolution of delinquent receivables.
• Conduct detailed analysis of targeted accounts within business information systems for both internal, outside agency, and customer related inquiries.
• Serves as subject matter expert on Energy Assistance programs in the area, payment options, and other potential customer related inquiries.
• Ensure that collection processes are configured to support continued customer experience improvement and changing business needs.
• Assist Lead Collections Quality Analyst as requested in team projects and other administrative tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor's Degree Business, statistics, or related quantitative field preferred
• 5+ Years Analytical experience in a business environment required
• Experience working with business information systems, including SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle or similar required
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and to identify customer issues and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex messages, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors and peers.
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,400 to $138,075 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
