Our Manufacturing Engineer (Welding) leads individuals and/or teams of technicians to develop and maintain welding related processes, procedures, specifications and applications for new and existing products throughout MAC Trailer, Enterprises, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
Wage Range: $60,000 - $105,000

What you will do: • Lead, educate, and train MAC Trailer Enterprises, Inc. and its subsidiaries on Established welding methodologies.
• Lead and educate individuals and/or technicians who are focused on the development and maintenance of weld engineering processes, tools, and machines. Including development of team goals and evaluation of team performance.
• Lead improvement activities within welding areas
• Develop and support Welding Quality Control systems including Welding procedures Specifications (WPS), Manufacturing Engineering Procedures (MEP), and Manufacturing Engineering Forms (MEF) as they relate to welding.
• Maintain all WPS, MEP, MEF, PQR, and WPQR documentation for MAC Trailer Enterprises, Inc. and its subsidiaries. (Document Control Administrator for the M.E. group.
• Involved in and assist in the procurement and application of welding machines, equipment and consumables.
• Coordinate, perform and /or oversee training for welding related positions.
• Facilitate weld development for new projects and processes.
• Be utilized as a subject matter expert for welding, both manual and robotic applications.
• Perform welding related inspections for division, plant production, and prototypes.
• Perform welding related audits at all locations.
• Develop and recommend welding repair procedures for various welding applications at all locations.
• Stays current with latest technologies, publications, and periodicals

• 2 to 4 years of experience in related technical area is required (ME or Weld Engineering Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to read and understand weld symbology as well as mechanical drawings.
• Hands on experience with welding is required (MIG), aluminum experience desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of practical welding standards as set forth by the American Welding Society is required.
