This role is ideal for an experienced technical leader who thrives in complex aerospace manufacturing environments and wants to help shape the future of turbine engine joining technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and optimize welding and brazing processes critical to Pratt & Whitney's next-generation propulsion systems.

You will join the Manufacturing Processes and Advanced Technology (MPAT) group within the Operational Excellence Organization. This group is committed to sustaining and driving manufacturing improvements across the enterprise, including module centers, sites, functions, and the supply base. MPAT emphasizes continuous improvement through lean and Six Sigma methodologies, while promoting advanced manufacturing technologies, best practices, and strong process discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on problem solving in high-mix aerospace manufacturing and MRO environments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across global supply chain, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Enterprise-wide Pratt & Whitney business processes, including the CORE Operating System, Leadership Operating Model, and cross-functional areas such as Material Control Labs, Engineering Support to Operations, Quality, and Engineering Source Approval.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Welding Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or shop operations.
  • 5+ years of aerospace experience in brazing, welding, or joining processes (TIG/GTAW, laser, electron beam, vacuum brazing, induction).
  • Experience programming or supporting automated joining systems, robotics, welding controls, or furnace controls.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer:
