What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Website and Graphic Design Lead to support a Department of State client within the Defense & Security Segments HumanCentered Design (HCD) team. In this role, you will apply structured design, content strategy, and humancentered methodologies to enhance the clarity, usability, and impact of missioncritical web and multimedia products. Responsibilities may include:
Translate complex technical concepts into intuitive, visually compelling formatssuch as infographics, reports, presentations, and multimediatailored for the general public and internal federal audiences. Build and maintain standardized visual frameworks, templates, and identity systems to ensure consistency across all communications.
Apply humancentered design methodologies to improve clarity, discoverability, and usability of web and multimedia products.
Manage and update web content using structured workflows, ensuring accuracy, accessibility (including Section 508), and alignment with stakeholder needs.
Monitor user engagement metrics (e.g., time on site, downloads, open rates, video views) and leverage insights to shape content and design decisions.
Track performance trends and recommend iterative improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact.
Partner with crossfunctional teams to align design and content strategies, ensuring timely, highquality delivery.
Manage multiple concurrent design projects, from intake through delivery, using structured project management techniques to maintain quality and meet deadlines.
Integrate stakeholder feedback to refine design and multimedia products for clarity, usability, and mission alignment.
Identify and propose opportunities to streamline design processes and enhance scalability through improved tools, templates, and standards.
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
Bachelors degree
THREE (3) years experience in graphic design
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Portfolio showcasing the range of your design abilities
Section 508 accessibility requirements familiarity
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience working with the Department of State
Experience working in cross-functional teams or large organizations
