JOB DESCRIPTION

The Annuity and Insurance Product Delivery & Platform Strategy Team drives projects/programs that focus on driving strategic and continuous improvement initiatives supporting our Annuity and Insurance product organization across JPM Wealth Management.Responsibilities include analyzing business and operational processes to identify and recommend product & platform innovation, efficiencies, and applicability initiatives to drive business results.  As part of the team, this role will partner with business leadership, key business stakeholders, and our third-party U.S. based insurance carriers and vendors to define, development and manage successful implementation.  The role will have a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives and serve as a central point of accountability to translate the business AI vision into an executable roadmap 6fining program scope, delivery operating model, milestones, resourcing, and dependency management across multiple concurrent initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, think strategically, influence without authority, be a self-starter, and able to lead complex projects with a broad scope of stakeholders.  The candidate will manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, encourage a strong collaborative environment, and drive projects end-to-end to completion.  The ability to work across business functions (including sales, operations, technology, marketing, legal, risk, compliance) is critical to the role.  The candidate will be familiar with the financial services industry, with an understanding of Life Insurance & Annuities.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Product Delivery across Annuities & Insurance products overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of product delivery from epic creation, story writing, progress reports, overseeing UAT and reporting off and signing off on readiness.

  • Lead AI initiative delivery (end-to-end): Own intake, scoping, roadmap, and execution for AI projects supporting the Annuity & Life insurance business (e.g., new AI-enabled tools, process automation, decision-support), aligning stakeholders on objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes

  • Translate business needs into executable plans: Partner with product, technology, data, risk/compliance, and operations and other stakeholders to convert use cases into clear requirements, delivery milestones, dependency plans, and success metrics (e.g., adoption, cycle-time reduction, quality/accuracy improvements).

  • Drive operational excellence with AI-enabled PM practices: Identify and pilot AI capabilities that improve project management efficiency (e.g., status automation, risk/issue prediction, documentation support), and standardize governance, reporting, and change management to scale proven approaches across the portfolio.

  • Develop and manage initiatives while balancing stakeholder, risk and business impacts.

  • Leverage data to understand user behavior, drive decision making, and business goals for growth and efficiency.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define functional requirements and translating these requirements into Epics, and stories for technology to deliver solutions

  • Oversee and coordinate all user acceptance testing for projects and provide reports of testing results, readiness to go/live and facilitation of go/no go decisions.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience: 8 612+ years in project/program management with multi-workstream delivery ownership (technology, data, or digital transformation); experience operating at VP level, experience in financial services, with preferred subject matter expertise in annuities and/or insurance. 

  • AI / analytics delivery exposure: Direct experience delivering AI/ML, advanced analytics, automation, or GenAI-enabled capabilities (doesnt need to be hands-on model building, but must understand the lifecycle and delivery implications)

  • Strategy-to-execution translation: Convert an AI strategy into a sequenced roadmap with clear milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and benefits tracking.

  • Prioritization and decision facilitation: Run an objective prioritization process (value, complexity, data readiness, operational readiness, risk) and drive timely decisions with senior leaders.

  • End-to-end delivery management: Own delivery from intake and requirements through build, testing, release, adoption, and post-launch measurement (including hyper care where needed).
