JOB DESCRIPTION

As a part of the Syndications - Agency Services Team, JPM provides a platform to drive the distribution capability of the Private Bank. This role will work closely with key stakeholders across the Firm — such as Private Bankers, Credit Risk, Underwriters, Loan Servicing, Legal and department managers — as part of a highly collaborative team.

 

Primary Function:

  • Support the Syndications Desk with origination and maintenance of loan facilities
    • Within Syndications - The Agency Services team will serve as the main point of contact for coordinating bank outreach to deal stakeholders (lawyers, lenders, etc.), while working closely with the Firm Management team and Lending teams.
    • Responsible for internal reporting strategy, including establishing and maintaining databases and templates.
    • Responsible for external outreach for participant lender-facing activities, including bank group coordination of closing waivers, originations, extensions, consents, amendments, and refinancings, on transactions in our portfolio where JPMorgan acts as Administrative Agent to a client.
    • Communicate directly with clients, private bankers and lenders, underwriters, legal counsel, credit risk and loan closing teams.
    • Partner with lender and legal counsel on document negotiations and oversee coordination of legal documents and comments from bank groups within a syndicated loan group.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Effectively drives the operational function that administers and supports the management of a syndicated loan portfolio.
    • Communicate directly with clients and serve as primary point of contact for within a bank group for modifications, annual reviews, borrowing bases, and quarterly check-ins.
    • Manage existing bank group relationships, and look for opportunities to aggregate data and provide competitive color on market dynamics.
    • On an annual basis, suggest enhancements to improve efficiencies.
    • Liaise with the broader lending organization to assist with transactional questions and/or process improvements.

 

  • General
    • Analyze and report common client requests and regularly update senior management.
    • Suggest enhancements to processes and procedures in order to improve efficiency.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Wealth Management or Banking preferred

  • A Bachelors Degree

  • Demonstrated ability for sales and client relationship management
  • Strong communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and attention to detail

  • Aptitude to take initiative and be proactive to help provide leverage for the team; confidence executing projects with limited supervision

  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF
