Key Responsibilities
  • Assign staff, develop schedules, ensure schedules are met, and all standard objectives for the projects are met and maintained
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Visit sites and meet with General Contractors/owners to coordinate start dates, site logistics, project readiness, and schedules
  • Ensure that a handover/prestart of projects is completed between estimators and production managers, work closely with other Project Managers, manage drafting/shop drawings, schedule of personnel; plan, develop and/or implement procedures and systems to deliver our services with the utmost professionalism
  • Manage the construction work carried out by contractors, ensuring that the time, cost, quality, safety and environmental requirements of construction activities are met
  • Review and/or develop budgets for projects, ensuring any risk is managed and mitigated prior to entering into any contract
  • Lead managers in developing, implementing, and applying procedures defined for site activities
  • Advise managers and others as required to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations are followed
  • Oversee and conduct reviews with managers to check construction progress on a weekly basis, identifying any problem areas, and requesting the contractor or manager involved takes action where required
  • Keep the ownership informed regularly of all aspects of any potential liabilities and issues as they progress
  • Review and develop contracts as required to ensure risk is managed to the best interests of the company
  • Procure and assist the Sales and Estimating departments in procuring and securing high value clients and contracts as required to meet projected budgets
  • Oversee and track project progress and produce claims for delays and extras as required to maximize project profitability, represent the company in warranty claims, develop quality control systems and oversee their implementation across the company's divisions
  • Assisting the Superintendents in coordinating materials and equipment
  • Manage and monitor RFIs, change orders, and contract documents
  • Ensure all specifications, details, and applicable building codes are met
  • Develop and monitor quality control documents including shop drawings, submittals, and field reports
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers and consultants
  • Verify the ordering of materials
  • Responsible for pricing change orders
  • Familiarity and knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of CCDC contracts
  • All other duties assigned


Qualifications and Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a Project Manager role, preferably in the roofing/waterproofing industry
  • Graduate from a recognized architectural or engineering program, construction management (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
