Wastewater Project Engineer - Maple Grove, MN or Woodbury, MNDue to ongoing growth, AE2S is seeking a motivated and team-oriented
Wastewater Project Engineer to join our nationally recognized, award-winning team. Typical assignments include planning studies, engineering reports, system design, and construction administration for both new developments and system upgrades. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to client relationships and business development as part of a supportive, high-performing team.
Responsibilities- Provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors
- Provide professional services for the design and construction of wastewater collection systems, and wastewater treatment facilities
- Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects
- Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
- Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings
- Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members
Qualifications
Basic- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months
- 6+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering with a strong interest in the wastewater market sector
- Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgment and aptitude among peers, management, and staff

Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Design work and knowledge with wastewater treatment and collection systems, utility planning, and other municipal vertical and horizontal infrastructure
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Physical- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town

- Anticipated starting hourly wage: $82,800 to $101,200 DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, etc.) This position will remain posted until it is filled.
