Your ResponsibilitiesAs a
Warehouse Supervisor for
JD North American Parts DistributionCenter located in
Milan, Illinois, you will:
- Work with cross functional teams to prioritize and provide manpower to support special projects across the warehouse
- Monitoring team performance, allocating work, reviewing completion, and taking corrective actions to ensure timeliness and quality. The role is accountable for achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies by identifying risks, instructing safe work methods, and escalating serious issues as needed.
- Identifying and reporting noncompliance with organizational policies, regulatory codes, and codes of conduct, escalating when appropriate.
- Monitor Production Plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems, and generally supervise production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
- Lead employee engagement activities, while establishing a positive employee environment through communications, feedback and overall guidance.
- Monitor individual/group performance and take corrective action including discipline, as needed and respond to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere to policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.

• Willingness to work overtime (weekdays or weekends) as necessary to support operational needs and on-time delivery
• Excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
• Demonstrated experience making sound decisions and being proactive in a high-pressure or time-sensitive environments
• Ability to conduct crucial conversations, including ability to enforce company policies, practices, procedures and work rules
• Experience communicating across functions, such as: engineering, factory personnel, operations, and labor relations.
What Makes You Stand Out• Experience in a leadership role in a union environment
• Experience with shop floor manufacturing and incentive pay systems (such as CIPP)
• Cross-functional work experience in Safety, Engineering, Quality, Material Control, or Supply Management
• Demonstrated experience utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to drive business improvements
• Possess a good working knowledge of the appropriate operating and information systems used in Operations (Word, Excel, SAP, SharePoint, PowerBI)
• Experience using SAP systems (i.e. PW4, PHR, etc)
EducationIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
