Centra has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President (VP) Finance in Columbus, Indiana. The VP Finance is responsible for strategic management of organizational financial risk. This includes prudent structuring of the credit union's balance sheet to effectively manage interest rate and liquidity risk. It also includes playing a leadership role in the organization's investment and pricing activities. This position oversees the financial performance monitoring efforts of the credit union, Board/regulatory financial reporting, and the annual budget process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. - Employs balance sheet management strategies to effectively align organizational interest rate and liquidity risk levels with regulatory guidelines, sound operations, and desired risk tolerances
- Evaluates organizational financial performance, identifying and recommending strategies to improve performance where applicable, including individual business/product areas
- Models cash flow forecasts over relevant time horizons, balance sheet classes, and interest rate environments as part of advance planning and management of the organization's liquidity position
- Manages the credit union's investment portfolio and makes buy/sell decisions, working with the investment advisory firm to understand portfolio composition, risk, cash flows, and pending/upcoming balance sheet needs
- Provides strategic direction to Executive Management & the Board of Directors regarding potential new projects, expansion opportunities, and the impact of economic developments on Centra's financial performance
- Oversees the annual budgeting process, communicating expectations to internal collaborators and budget recommendations/key drivers to Executive Management and the Board of Directors
- Supervises monthly financial reporting aggregation for the Board of Directors packet and the quarterly Call Report process to the NCUA
- Communicates financials results and concepts to Team Members across the organization
- Plays a central role in pricing decisioning for loan and deposit products and services
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Finance Team. Leadership duties include performance management, training & development, and demonstrating and cultivating Centra's Vision, Mission, Culture, and Core Values
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - (EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED): - Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
- MBA Preferred
- Five years to eight years of progressive asset liability management experience
- Eight years to 10 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
