The Opportunity In this quota-carrying role, you will focus on selling payroll and employer-of-record services tailored to production crews across film, television, commercials, and digital content. You will partner directly with line producers, production accountants, UPMs, and finance managers to streamline crew onboarding, time capture, union compliance, and payroll processing.
This role is well suited for a sales professional who understands the fast-paced, high-volume nature of production crew payroll and thrives in relationship-driven, project-based selling environments.
Responsibilities - Own and grow a revenue quota by identifying and closing new production payroll opportunities across film, television, and commercial productions
- Build strong relationships with line producers, production accountants, UPMs, and physical production teams
- Position XR's onboarding, timekeeping, EOR, and payroll solutions as critical infrastructure for efficient production operations
- Provide consultative guidance on union and non-union crew payroll workflows, approvals, fringe calculations, and reporting
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to individual production needs and timelines
- Partner closely with Implementation and Customer Success to ensure smooth production launches and repeat business
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in Salesforce
- Identify opportunities to expand services across multiple productions within the same production companies
Pursuant to California's Pay Transparency Laws, the pay range for this position is $175,000 - $185,000; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Requirements- 5-8+ years of experience in entertainment payroll, production accounting, crew payroll services, or related HR/payroll technology sales
- Strong understanding of crew timekeeping, startwork/onboarding processes, union fringes, and production payroll cycles
- Experience working with line producers, production accountants, and on-the-ground production teams
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative sales environment
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, deadline-driven production settings
- Strong relationship-building skills and client service mindset
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%) for production meetings and industry events
