DescriptionThis is the role that makes the system real.
Photonic is transitioning from cutting-edge component innovation to fully integrated, working quantum nodes. As VP, Systems, you will own the definition, integration, and validation of those systems-ensuring that what we build actually works. You will bring structure to ambiguity, drive cross-functional alignment, and establish the discipline required to deliver repeatable system builds.
You are the bridge between hardware, chips, and software. You are accountable for system architecture, system readiness, and end-to-end performance. This role is central to moving Photonic from R&D into scalable system execution.
Please include a cover letter with your resume (in one file) describing how you would be a great fit at Photonic and what attributes you could bring to our growing team.

Lead cross-functional integration across hardware, chips, and software to deliver fully functional quantum systems
Own system validation, verification, and readiness - ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations
Establish stage-gating, build cycles, and release processes that drive predictable system delivery
Build and scale a quality organization responsible for system integrity, test strategy, and acceptance criteria
Identify integration risks early and drive resolution across teams before they impact system builds
Drive accountability across engineering for end-to-end system performance - not just component completion
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM- Deep experience in systems engineering for complex, multidisciplinary products (hardware + software + integration)

AN EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING
- Experience in quantum, photonics, telecom, or semiconductor systems
- Background building novel platforms or first-of-their-kind systems-not just incremental products
- Expertise in system architecture frameworks, requirements tooling, and validation methodologies
