Full Job Description
Aspirus Health in WAUSAU, WI is seeking a VP- SYSTEM FINANCE - CORPORATE to join our FISCAL SERVICES team!

This role will provide executive leadership over the Record to Report function. Ensures timely, accurate and relevant financial and management information is developed, analyzed, and disseminated on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support effective management of Aspirus Health. Drive system-wide standardization and implantation of world-class financial and managerial reporting capabilities. Accountable for system-wide accounting, financial reporting, financial applications, payroll, and tax finance support.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hospital management and policy administration, as well as development and implementation of budgets, financial strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in Accounting or Finance; or a master's degree in business administration or related field. If bachelor's degree, FHFMA required.
  • Master's Degree desired.
  • Eight to ten years' experience in healthcare financial management along with four to five years of management experience in the healthcare field is essential.
  • Demonstrates expertise in financial reporting and financial management for large, complex organizations including the operational areas of accounting, accounts payable, payroll, cash & treasury, grant accounting, third party reimbursement, audit, taxes, long term debt, foundation support operations, and financial systems support.
  • Technical competence in generally accepted accounting principles, payroll taxes, income taxes, and third-party reimbursement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local compliance requirements for tax exempt and healthcare provider organizations.
  • Experience in tax exempt variable and fixed rate debt, including debt covenants, interest rate swaps, stand by purchase agreements, and remarketing agreements.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as well as aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, strategic planning and evaluation, financial analysis, and staff development.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desired.
