Position Summary

The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing will lead Hyve Solutions' global sourcing and procurement organization, driving sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supply continuity across a complex hardware manufacturing environment. This executive will play a critical role in supporting rapid business growth, new product introductions, AI infrastructure expansion, and global supply chain resilience.

The VP will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, and Executive Leadership to develop sourcing strategies that ensure competitive advantage while maintaining quality, delivery, and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with Hyve's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead strategic procurement activities across servers, storage, networking, racks, mechanical components, electronics, semiconductors, power systems, and manufacturing services.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with OEM, ODM, EMS, and component suppliers.
  • Drive supplier selection, contract negotiations, pricing strategies and reduction, and long-term partnership agreements.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Establish supplier risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply and mitigate geopolitical, operational, and market risks.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and technology roadmaps.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for emerging technologies supporting AI, cloud, and hyperscale infrastructure.
  • Lead global supplier performance management programs, including quality, delivery, capacity, and cost metrics.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing teams to ensure supply readiness and capacity planning.
  • Drive procurement process improvements, analytics, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing standards, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global sourcing organization.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience.
  • 8+ years leading global sourcing organizations in technology hardware, electronics manufacturing, data center infrastructure, OEM, ODM, or related industries.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex global supplier agreements and managing executive supplier relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanical commodities, manufacturing services, and global supply markets.
  • Demonstrated success driving cost optimization, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and executive communication skills.

Preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale cloud, AI infrastructure, server, storage, or networking product environments.
  • Knowledge of global trade regulations, supply chain compliance, and responsible sourcing practices.
  • Experience leading sourcing organizations across North America and Asia.
