Are you passionate about transforming complex operational workflows into scalable, resilient systems that deliver real business impact? At LPL Financial, we're looking for a senior product leader who thrives at the intersection of Operations, Technology, Automation, and AI - someone ready to lead enterprise-scale transformation in a highly regulated environment while developing the next generation of product leaders. Job Overview LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President, Product Management within the Product Management organization to lead workflow transformation across Operations. This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of an Operations Transformation portfolio, including strategy, execution, adoption, and sustained value realization across automation-led and AI-enabled (where applicable) workflow products. The VP is accountable for outcomes - ensuring that high-impact operational workflows are transformed into well-architected, orchestrated systems that improve advisor experience, increase operational efficiency, and support safe, compliant growth. This leader thinks beyond individual workflows, focusing on the health, resilience, and performance of the broader operational system. As a senior partner to Operations, Technology, Data, and Risk leaders, the VP applies an automation-first, AI-informed product strategy grounded in systems thinking. In addition, this leader builds and develops a high-performing team of Product Owners and Product Managers, setting a high bar for execution, systems-level thinking, and responsible AI usage. Responsibilities: Product Ownership & Delivery Accountability - Own end-to-end delivery and outcomes for Operations workflow products, accountable for strategy, execution, adoption, and realized business value. - Define product priorities, success metrics, and investment tradeoffs aligned to enterprise and Operations objectives. - Ensure consistent delivery of measurable improvements in advisor experience, cycle time, risk reduction, and operational efficiency. - Establish clear accountability models, delivery standards, and governance mechanisms across teams. Automation-Led & AI-Enabled Transformation Strategy - Set domain strategy for workflow transformation with an automation-first mindset and selective, responsible use of AI. - Guide teams in balancing deterministic automation, orchestration, and AI-assisted decisioning based on value, risk, and explainability. - Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Risk & Compliance to ensure solutions are compliant, scalable, resilient, and governable. - Ensure workflows are data-driven and AI-ready where appropriate, without introducing unnecessary complexity or risk. Portfolio & Product Leadership - Oversee a portfolio of workflow products, ensuring alignment between roadmaps, delivery capacity, and Operations priorities. - Review and challenge product strategies, roadmaps, and backlogs to maintain focus on outcomes over outputs. - Act as an escalation point for delivery risks, dependencies, and cross-team tradeoffs. People Leadership & Talent Development - Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Product Owners and Product Managers. - Set clear expectations for ownership, execution quality, and product thinking; coach leaders on delivery discipline and stakeholder management. - Provide ongoing feedback, performance management, and career development. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and learning - especially around automation and responsible AI. Stakeholder Leadership & Executive Governance - Serve as a senior execution partner to Operations, Technology, Data, and Risk executives. - Lead governance forums with transparent reporting on delivery progress, benefits realization, risks, and tradeoffs. - Influence enterprise priorities and funding decisions through data-driven business cases and outcome reporting. Enterprise Digital & AI Transformation Leadership - Play a visible leadership role in LPL's digital and AI transformation across Operations. - Establish and scale best practices for workflow product ownership, portfolio management, and responsible AI adoption. - Act as a thought leader and role model for modern product management at LPL. What Are We Looking For? A strategic, outcomes-driven product leader with deep experience transforming operational workflows at scale - someone who combines strong systems thinking, executive influence, and people leadership with a practical, responsible approach to automation and AI in a regulated environment. Requirements - 10+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or technology-enabled transformation, preferably within financial services or other regulated industries. - 10+ years experience leading portfolio-level product delivery with accountability for outcomes across multiple teams or initiatives. - Proven track record delivering large-scale workflow transformation in Operations, servicing, or back-office environments. - 2+ years experience leveraging automation and AI-assisted capabilities (e.g., decisioning, classification, human-in-the-loop workflows) to improve operational efficiency or quality. - 5+ years experience as a people leader with experience managing, developing, and mentoring Product Managers and Product Owners. Core Competencies - Enterprise product and delivery leadership - Systems thinking and outcome-driven execution - Automation-first, AI-informed product strategy - Executive communication and governance - Talent development and organizational impact Please note: This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
