Full Job Description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Lending Advisory Compliance Officer in U.S. Banks Non-Financial Risk to lead all compliance activities and affairs of residential mortgage lending.

In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Vice President level position within the Consumer Banking & Lending team responsible for providing regulatory advice, guidance and support to our business partners in the Mortgage Division.

What you'll do in the role:

- Serve as business partner to the residential mortgage lending division providing compliance advice and guidance on controls to satisfy federal and state regulatory requirements, including but not limited to TILA, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, TRID, Fair Lending laws, FCRA, Privacy laws, FDPA, SCRA, etc.
- Work with the mortgage division impacted by changing laws, regulations and/or policies to ensure awareness and that bank policies and procedures are updated as appropriate to comply with the changes.
- Responsible for ad-hoc reviews isolated to specific issues or potential issues identified by our business partners, testing, monthly compliance QA reviews.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for the review and update of MSPBNA policies and procedures on an annual basis in accordance with the Annual Compliance Plan or on an as needed basis based on Regulatory changes.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the HMDA team in Mumbai
- Point of contact for the mortgage business and TL regarding the resolution of HMDA exceptions that were noted during loan file reviews.
- Responsible for the annual submission of the HMDA LAR.
- Responsible for annual review and updates of mortgage specific training curriculum.
- Responsible for assisting in the gathering and validation of mortgage loan documentation related to internal audits or external regulatory examination requests.
- Responsible for mortgage loan origination system enhancements - assist by offering guidance from a compliance perspective and completing necessary testing in lower environments prior to launch in the production environment
- Assume responsibility for special projects and prepare reports for senior management What you'll bring to the role:

- Bachelor's degree required
- CRCM; MBA or JD from an accredited school desired.
- 8+ years' experience in regulatory compliance within the residential mortgage lending space or in combination with experience applying consumer compliance controls at the residential business unit level.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Expert in managing multiple projects and deliverables at the same time
- Proficient in all pertinent Federal and State residential mortgage-related laws, regulations, rules and official guidance applicable to a National Bank.
- Nimble at performing research in response to questions raised by business partners Bank Compliance supports.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- A self-starter with strong work ethic and drive
- Strong sense of integrity and ethical leadership
- Strong team-orientation

Please note that the location listed for this role is temporary. The position’s work location will transition to 1445 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75202 at a future date. In-Person interviews will be required for the role.
