The Vice President of Vendor Program Development is responsible for leading VGM's Group Purchasing (GPO) and Fulfillment Vendor Programs to maximize value from vendor partnerships and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This role provides strategic oversight of the Program Development area within the Vendor Center of Excellence, requiring high impact negotiation skills, proven success building and executing new programs with vendors, collaboration across the organization and a discipline to advance key priorities of the business.

This strategic thought leader serves as a critical liaison between vendor partners, VGM's organization and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity, coordination, and execution of key initiatives all while leading cross functional initiatives that support revenue growth, vendor contract compliance, and strategic procurement activities.
Reporting Accountability: SVP of Vendor Partner Strategy in VGM & Associates
Working Location: Waterloo, Iowa is preferred. Open to remote locations.
Working Hours Classification: Full-Time, 40+ hours per week Monday through Friday. Travel is expected.
What you'll do: - Develop and oversee the execution of the GPO Category & Vendor Strategy.
- Own the identification and evaluation of new vendors, including those sent to vendor center of excellence (CofE) by channel leaders or customer success, to be added to GPO and ensure strategic fit.
- Own the development of the GPO aggregation strategy and oversee its execution. Ensure clear roles and responsibilities are identified, KPIs established, and organizational goals align.
- Develop and oversee the execution of the Fulfillment Category, Vendor and Product Strategy.
- Collaborate with channel leaders, business development and customer success teams to develop and execute the above strategies and ensure alignment across the organization.
- Collaborate with Homelink, Forbin and other VGM businesses from time to time to share ideas, consider new strategies and overall help bring alignment across VGM Group.
- Consider VGM assets such as market data, professional services, and more into the above strategies, identifying how best to leverage their capabilities to maximize the opportunity.
- Develop and execute strategies that maximize value from all vendor partnerships.
- Perform other duties as assigned to strategically support the success of the business.
What will make you successful: Education and experience:
- 10+ years of experience in contracting, vendor management, supply chain, procurement, or related fields.
- 7+ years of Distribution/Fulfillment experience specifically in the areas of: Pricing / Contracts, Vendor / Category management (especially respiratory, medical supplies), and GPOs.
- Proven success negotiating and managing high-value vendor agreements.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives that drive measurable financial or operational impact.
- Strong background in data analysis, market assessment, or portfolio optimization.
- Must comply with continuing education per Company, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
- Proficiency in using market data, financial metrics, and business intelligence tools to inform decisions.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and action plans.
- Experience developing processes, dashboards, or reporting frameworks for contract performance or value capture is preferred but not required.
- Sourcing experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation Overview: The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based incentives.
