Job DetailsDivision: Vulcraft of New York, Inc.Location: Chemung, NY, United StatesOther Available Locations: N/ABasic Job Functions:As a member of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the General Manager, the VP of Sales is an integral part of developing and executing on the division's business strategy. The VP of Sales is responsible for commercial strategy that drives division profitability, setting the vision, building and coaching the team, and aligning local execution with Vulcraft-Verco Group and enterprise-wide goals.
- Lead the division's Sales organization with direct oversight of (2) outside sales offices and the sales team based at the Chemung plant.
- Own long-term commercial strategy while delivering the near-term results the business depends on.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, cohesive sales team built to win.
- Drive the division's safety culture, setting the standard for every teammate.
- Lead, nurture, and advance the Nucor culture.
- Align and execute the Vulcraft-Verco Group's enterprise strategy at the division level.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Compensation Information:• Base salary ranges from $135,000-$170,000, depending on experience, training, and education.
• Division-based ROA bonus up to 109% of base salary
• Enterprise profit-sharing - a 10-year average of 14.14% in cash and 401(k) contributions
• Equity bonus of up to $116,000.
Minimum Qualifications:• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing business, including direct oversight of a sales or commercial team.
• A track record of embracing and driving change.
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute commercial or go-to-market strategy in a B2B/industrial environment.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L, pricing, and margin management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
• Willingness and means to travel. Travel is up to 50%, with heavy reliance on driving.
Preferred Qualifications:• Working knowledge of all aspects of a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in steel, metals, building products, or construction-related industries.
• Prior P&L ownership.
• Experience leading a geographically distributed or multi-site sales team.
• MBA or other advanced business degree.
• Familiarity with joist, deck, or other structural steel products.
