How you will contribute
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for overseeing the company's sales organization, driving revenue growth, and developing strategic plans to expand market share in the Human Capital Management (HCM) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) industry. This role provides leadership and direction to the sales team, ensures execution of company objectives, and collaborates with executive leadership on go-to-market strategy and performance.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue targets and market growth objectives.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the sales organization, including regional sales leaders, account executives, and business development personnel.
- Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting structures to monitor and improve team productivity and results.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment in messaging, product positioning, and customer engagement.
- Oversee the sales forecasting process and ensure accuracy in pipeline management and revenue projections.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to support business development and retention efforts.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and product direction.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize sales tools, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Prepare regular updates and presentations for the CEO and executive team on sales performance and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and contractual terms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of sales experience, including 5+ years in a sales leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Extensive experience in the HCM, HRIS, or HR technology industry.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes and long-cycle deal management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and drive measurable outcomes.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales technology platforms.
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
