Full Job Description
About the role

We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead Centricity Research's accounting and finance operations across our US and Canadian operations during an exciting period of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the organization while building scalable processes, strengthening internal controls, and developing a high-performing finance team.

This is a highly visible leadership role within our private equity-backed organization with a clear pathway to CFO for the right candidate as the company continues to scale. You'll oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, compliance, audits, finance systems, and post-acquisition financial integration while partnering closely with executive leadership and the Senior Director of FP&A to support strategic decision-making. If you're a collaborative finance leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, leveraging technology, and helping organizations scale, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Lead and develop the Accounting Manager and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, consolidated financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls and financial governance.
  • Lead treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, payment controls, and liquidity management.
  • Oversee external audits, tax compliance, financial statement preparation, and relationships with auditors, banking partners, and external advisors.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, FP&A and executive leadership to ensure alignment between accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to cross-functional leaders, supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Prepare and present financial results, board materials, and key reporting packages to executive leadership, the Board, and the private equity sponsor.
  • Drive finance transformation by identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and leverage AI and emerging technologies to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Lead the finance workstream for acquisitions, including accounting due diligence, post-acquisition financial integration, and the successful integration of new entities into Centricity's financial systems and processes.
  • Manage finance activities related to debt refinancing initiatives, including lender due diligence, financial reporting, covenant compliance, and coordination with banking partners and external advisors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, lenders, auditors, and external advisors while supporting the organization's financing strategy and future growth.
  • Ensure finance operations, systems, and controls are scalable to support continued organizational growth and future acquisitions.
  • Build strong relationships across the business while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial and operational matters.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Hold a CPA designation and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility within a multi-entity or multi-site organization.
  • Have successfully led accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, audits, tax compliance, and internal controls.
  • Bring strong technical accounting expertise with a deep understanding of US GAAP.
  • Have experience leading and developing high-performing accounting teams through managers.
  • Have experience supporting debt refinancing activities, lender reporting, banking relationships, or other corporate financing initiatives within a growing organization.
  • Have worked with ERP systems such as NetSuite and enjoy improving finance systems, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Have experience implementing automation, AI, or other emerging technologies to improve finance operations and team productivity.
  • Have supported mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition financial integration.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth organizations where priorities evolve and continuous improvement is expected.
  • Have experience in private equity-backed organizations, healthcare, clinical research, professional services, or other complex multi-site environments (highly preferred).
  • Are a collaborative, strategic leader who can balance hands-on financial oversight with executive-level thinking and business partnership.
