Job Purpose
The Vice President of Capital Markets is responsible for leading the structuring, execution, and management of debt facilities for a leading, profitable consumer lending platform as it expands nationally, launches new products, and diversifies its funding sources. The role will drive end-to-end execution of funding transactions, manage key external relationships, and support capital markets strategy, reporting, and executive/board communications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive efficiencies and automation throughout the treasury department leveraging AI, data, and technology
- Lead the structuring and execution of securitization, warehouse facility, forward-flow, unsecured debt, and new financing transactions
- Review, understand, and negotiate legal documents for all credit agreements
- Research capital markets transactions and performance from similar competitors
- Manage relationships with commercial bankers, institutional investors, rating agencies, custodians, and back-up servicers
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of lender, investor, and SEC reporting
- Manage covenant compliance for all debt agreements
- Build and maintain liquidity, borrowing base, and funding capacity analysis to support growth and capital planning
- Own interest expense budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and lead initiatives to lower cost of funds
- Prepare executive-level materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and insightful management reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Servicing teams
- Work with internal parties to understand policies and processes and their impact on funding the business
- Manage a team of analysts and specialists and train them for high performance
- Assist with asset liability management through hedging programs and analytics
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics
- 10+ years relevant work experience and 2+ years managerial experience
- Securitization, capital markets, and monthly servicer reporting experience are required
- Strong AI, modeling, and Microsoft Excel skills

- Compensation for this role varies by location and experience. A base salary range for this position is between $267,000 and $327,000
