Full Job Description
Are you a systems-driven executive who thrives on turning operational complexity into scalable, enforceable workflows? Do you believe technology should run the business, not just support it? ACS is looking for a strategic, hands-on Vice President of Business Systems & Operational Technology to own and evolve our end-to-end operational systems: ensuring control, margin visibility, and reliable execution as we scale.

As the VP of Business Systems & Operational Technology, you will serve as the executive owner of ACS's operational platforms, including CRM, ERP, workflow, and field execution systems. You will ensure systems reflect real-world operations, enforce business rules, eliminate workarounds, and deliver real-time insights that drive smarter decisions across Sales, Operations, and Finance.

Your work will directly impact scalability, profitability, and operational discipline; translating business strategy into systems that perform every day.

Your objectives may be similar to:
  • Owning and evolving ACS's enterprise operational systems to support scale, control, and margin visibility.
  • Embedding business rules, approvals, and accountability directly into systems, not policy.
  • Delivering reliable, real-time operational insights to leadership through reporting, automation, and analytics.

Essential Functions

(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

Enterprise Systems Ownership
  • Own ACS's end-to-end operational platforms, including proprietary systems, Quickbase, CRM/ERP software, and all integrated third-party tools.
  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for operational systems, workflow automation, and operational analytics in a field-based, service-driven environment.
  • Ensure system integrity, reliability, and scalability to support current operations and future growth.

CRM, ERP & Workflow Leadership
  • Own and continuously improve CRM and ERP workflows that support forecasting, operational excellence, and strong returns on investment.
  • Design systems that support a distributed field workforce, independent contractors, and integrations with major retail and channel partners.
  • Translate operational requirements into scalable system design and automation.
  • Eliminate manual workarounds by embedding real-world processes directly into systems.

Operational Controls & Margin Visibility
  • Enforce standardized business rules and processes through system logic, approvals, and controls.
  • Ensure real-time visibility into project status, labor utilization, inventory, and profit margins.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Operations to ensure data accuracy, accountability, and disciplined execution.

Vendor Strategy & Systems Integrations
  • Lead vendor strategy across all operational platforms and system integrations.
  • Own vendor performance, delivery accountability, and contract management.
  • Ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Partner with IT infrastructure and security teams to ensure operational systems are supported by secure and scalable infrastructure.

Reporting, Automation & Enterprise Insights
  • Oversee systems that support enterprise reporting across sales, operations, inventory, scheduling, and accounting.
  • Translate operational data into timely, actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Drive automation initiatives that improve throughput, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Executive Partnership & System Accountability
  • Serve as the executive counterpart for operational systems across the business.
  • Enforce process discipline through systems, not policy.
  • Drive system adoption through clear ownership, documentation, training, change management, and accountability.

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Provide executive oversight and direction for the Director of Business Solutions, Digital Transformation Manager (indirect), Manager of IT Systems, the managed service provider (MSP), and key technology vendors and partners.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • 10-15 years of experience owning and operating enterprise business systems, with at least 5 years of direct responsibility for enterprise operational platforms and outcomes.
  • Background in field services, construction, distribution, logistics, or similarly complex operational environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating CRM, ERP, field execution, finance, and third-party platforms, including working knowledge of APIs, middleware, and data structures.
  • Proven success managing vendors, negotiating contracts, enforcing system standards, and delivering cross-functional solutions.
  • Deep working knowledge of CRM, ERP, workflow automation, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Experience supporting operational systems integrated with large national retailers or similarly complex enterprise partners strongly preferred.

Benefits:
  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Vacation (Planned Time Off)
  • Sick/Personal (Unplanned Time Off)
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Commuter Accounts
  • 401k with Employer match (up to 4% employer match!)
  • Voluntary Short Term Disability
  • Company Paid Life Insurance and ADD
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
