Full Job Description
Ultra Records has been in the forefront of electronic music for over three decades. Over the years, it's been home to the most renown artists in the genre, including: Benny Benassi, Black Coffee, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, deadmau5, Deorro, Gordo, Kaskade, Kygo, MK, Sofi Tukker, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and many more.

As we continue to build on that legacy, we are seeking a Vice President of Marketing to join our team - a passionate, digital-savvy creative who knows how to build campaigns that resonate across audiences and genres. This role will report directly to the President of Ultra Records and must be based in NY.

As the VP of Marketing at Ultra Records, you will play a critical role in setting the vision, strategy, and direction for innovative, data-driven and creative marketing across the Ultra Roster. You will oversee the marketing team, guide campaign strategy, approve budgets, and ensure marketing efforts are cohesive, measurable, and aligned with each artist's goals. You will work closely with artists and their teams - as well as with creative, digital, international, and A&R - to ensure their vision is integrated into all marketing efforts from conception to execution and will represent the marketing department in pitch meetings with potential new signings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital marketing, data analytics with the ability to balance creative vision, team leadership, and measurable business results.
What you'll do:
  • Lead the marketing department by contributing ideas, overseeing campaigns and guiding the team.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for singles, videos, and album releases across the Ultra Records roster
  • Drive artist development strategy in partnership with A&R, management, and creative teams - building long-term brand narratives alongside individual release campaigns
  • Create digital and social marketing strategies, leveraging platform expertise (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, etc. ) to grow audiences, deepen fan engagement, and drive streaming demand
  • Work closely with DSP partners (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, TIDAL) to maximize editorial placement and promotional opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including streams, playlist adds, social engagement, and audience growth - and adjust campaigns accordingly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with radio, publicity, creative, and sync teams to ensure cohesive, high-impact releases
  • Manage relationships with external partners including digital agencies, influencer networks, and content creators
  • Contribute to artist pitch meetings and internal business reviews with thoughtful, data-supported marketing perspectives
  • Manage marketing budgets efficiently, tracking spends against goals and reporting on ROI
  • Oversee the evaluation and adoption of new analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Melody IQ, Chartmetric, Luminate) as well as Sony's internal data analytics tools
  • Oversee the marketing budgets across artist campaigns, approving all purchase order requests and allocating resources across paid media, tools, and partnerships to maximize ROI on fan acquisition and growth
Who you are:
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience in the music industry, with a strong track record in recorded music campaigns and digital marketing
  • Broad knowledge of the contemporary music landscape and an ability to adapt strategy across genres and audiences
  • Extensive contacts and relationships in the electronic music industry
  • Skilled at artist-facing communication - you know how to build trust with talent and their teams
  • Strong digital and social instincts, with hands-on experience using platform tools and analytics to drive results
  • Comfortable being both creative and analytical - equally at home in a brainstorm and a performance dashboard
  • Experience managing budgets and working within cross-functional team structures
  • A natural collaborator with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high volumes of competing priorities
  • Available to travel both domestically and abroad for meetings, music conferences and festivals.

What we give you:
  • You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day
  • A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork empowering you to bring your best
  • An attractive and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K + employer matching
  • Voluntary benefits like company-paid identity theft protection and resources for pets, mental health and meditation resources, industry-leading fertility coverage, fully paid leave for childbirth or bonding, fully paid leave for caregivers, programs for loved ones with developmental disabilities and neurodiversity, subsidized back-up child and elder care, and reimbursement for adoption, surrogacy, tuition, and student loans
