  • Own the full marketing funnel, from awareness and consideration through acquisition, conversion, adoption, expansion, and retention, ensuring marketing activity and investment are connected to customer value and business outcomes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Mailgun's ICPs, customers, buying journeys, competitive landscape, and evolving market needs, translating insights into differentiated positioning, messaging, and growth opportunities.
  • Own Mailgun's product marketing strategy, including segmentation, positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, product launches, and go-to-market strategy in partnership with product and sales leadership.
  • Partner with sales and product leadership to define and execute an integrated go-to-market strategy, connecting self-service, sales-assisted, and enterprise motions.
  • Own Mailgun's brand positioning and voice, ensuring a differentiated and consistent presence across the customer journey and all key touchpoints.
  • Partner with regional marketing leaders to translate the global Mailgun strategy into market-specific plans and ensure marketing programs contribute to regional growth targets.
  • Own marketing investment allocation and performance, prioritizing resources across channels, programs, segments, and markets based on expected revenue impact and ROI.

Growth & Customer Lifecycle
  • Own the Mailgun website and digital experience as a primary growth engine, partnering with Product to optimize the journey from discovery through signup, conversion, engagement, and purchase.
  • Lead SEO, AEO, and AI-powered discovery strategies to increase Mailgun's visibility across search engines, AI-powered search, and LLM recommendations.
  • Build and optimize self-service acquisition funnels to drive signups, trials, conversion, and revenue through digital channels.
  • Lead integrated demand generation programs that create high-quality pipeline and revenue across mid-market and enterprise segments, with clear measurement of business impact.
  • Partner closely with regional marketing teams to provide the strategy, programs, content, insights, and tools required to maximize pipeline and revenue contribution across markets.
  • Partner with regions to run ABM and other demand programs, including thought leadership, content, events, and webinars, that engage enterprise decision-makers and create demand.
  • Develop lifecycle and customer marketing programs that increase engagement, adoption, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy.
  • Establish a culture of experimentation and continuous optimization, using data, personalization, conversion-rate optimization, A/B testing, and emerging technologies to improve marketing performance and customer experience.

Team & Marketing Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing, AI-native marketing organization, developing the talent, capabilities, operating model, and ways of working required to scale efficiently.
  • Leverage AI across strategy, content, creative, analytics, experimentation, customer insights, and marketing operations to increase team productivity and impact.
  • Partner closely with product, sales, customer success, central marketing, and regional marketing leaders to create a unified customer experience and coordinated go-to-market motion.
