Responsibilities

About the Role:

The VP IT Delivery and Deployment serves as the primary Solution Owner and IT Lead of the Servicing Platform, driving the strategy, development, and execution of innovative solutions that enable strong, competitive business performance. This leader is responsible for owning the end-to-end technical solution, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives, and delivering outcomes that meet Time, Cost, and Quality targets. The role involves guiding global teams to successfully deliver applications, overseeing the translation of business requirements and backlog items into effective, working software, and providing clear direction in technical decisions.

As the Solution Owner, the VP structures and leads delivery teams for optimal performance, manages sequencing to avoid redundancy, and monitors project progress using Agile metrics. The VP actively supports the Business Owner by offering insights into project health and maintains organizational design for efficient execution. By partnering with IT Shared Services Leadership and serving as a mentor to system managers and solution architects, the VP ensures project goals, priorities, and resourcing are clearly defined and well understood. The focus remains on solution ownership, effective IT leadership, Platform Engineering, and building a customer-centric team that supports the business vision for new capabilities.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide direct leadership to systems & sustain manager, solution architects.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery, life cycle, performance, and continuous improvement of the platform.
  • Partner with IT Shared Services Leadership (Architecture, Infrastructure, Data Management and Cybersecurity) to ensure that platform, project goals, and priorities are established and understood.
  • Ensure project-resourcing needs from 'Discovery to Sustain' are clearly defined, addressed and understood by all participating parties.
  • Successfully deliver complex, multi-project programs through effective management and governance techniques
  • Participate in and influence the development and maintenance of architectural standards and IT policies companywide.
  • Serve as mentor to Platform Engineers and other team members, where needed.
  • Provide effective communications with all key program and project stakeholders throughout the company, regardless of roles.
  • Build and sustain a 'customer-centric' team that supports business leader's vision for new business capabilities.
  • Ensure overall line management responsibilities are understood and being properly executed by system managers.
  • Actively participates in the PMO governance and business-lead steering commitment routines.
  • Frequently interact with application business sponsors, product managers/business project owners to ensure that major risks and issues are well understood and managed appropriately; this includes, but is not limited to, maintaining responsibility for hosting and/or participating in all relevant project governance forums.
  • Ensure coaching, motivation and development practices for all team members is in place.
  • Maintain overall responsibility and accountability for the deliveries, cost, schedule, and quality of all projects in their respective department.
  • Ensure accurate reports to executive management regarding progress, issues, risks, and conflict are produced and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure team maintains up-to-date knowledge of existing Platform.
  • Responsible for supplier management functions; inclusive of contracting and supervising, where applicable, vendor resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with functional business partners and Business Application / Product Owners.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of technical concepts required for specialized fields.
  • Use appropriate knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems.
  • Ensure that preventative and scheduled maintenance activities are conducted in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that system uptime is in accordance with service level objectives.
  • Ensure systems remain compliant with all policies and procedures.
  • Participate and support all relevant audit activities; ensure timely development and implementation of action plans to remediate SOX and Non-SOX-related deficiencies.


Qualifications

  • Firsthand experience being a fully functional member of an application development team, Platform Engineering and Operations
  • Previous experience as an IT Project Manager, Product Manager, or Platform Leader with responsibilities of implementing large-scale, high complexity systems.
  • Previous experience leading a global team of technical resources.
  • Detailed knowledge of development methodologies (i.e., waterfall, AGILE) and project management tools.
  • Experience managing remote resources, vendors, and developers.
  • Thorough understanding of program financials and budgeting Excellent leadership and employee development skills.

  • Availability to travel internationally for business purposes, potentially up to 20%.

Experience
  • 7+ years implementing and supporting technology solutions in a leadership role required.
