OverviewPOSITION SUMMARYThe Vice President of Investor Reporting will lead the investor reporting function for Silver Hill Capital's commercial loan servicing business. This role is responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all investor reporting deliverables, including remittance reporting, performance reporting, compliance reporting, and ad-hoc investor requests.
The VP will serve as a senior leader and subject-matter expert, partnering closely with servicing operations, accounting, treasury, technology, compliance, and audit teams, while acting as a key point of contact for external investors and the company's subservicer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInvestor Reporting Oversight- Oversee the preparation, review, and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting packages for commercial loan portfolios, including trust, whole loan, and private investor reporting.
- Ensure accuracy of remittance reporting, loan performance metrics, servicing advances, fees, and investor allocations.
- Review and approve investor statements, compliance certificates, and ad-hoc reporting deliverables prior to release.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex investor reporting questions and issues.
Subservicer Oversight & Coordination- Act as the primary investor reporting liaison escalation contact with the company's subservicer.
- Review and validate subservicer-provided reports, remittance data, and investor statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with servicing agreements.
- Coordinate issue resolution with the subservicer related to data discrepancies, reporting variances, servicing advances, and investor inquiries.
- Participate in ongoing oversight, reporting reviews, and performance discussions related to the subservicer.
- Support subservicer onboarding, system changes, and reporting enhancements impacting investor reporting.
Team Leadership & Development- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing investor reporting team.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Support hiring, training, and professional development initiatives.
Controls, Compliance & Audit- Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over investor reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with servicing agreements, pooling and servicing agreements (PSAs), investor reporting guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Partner with internal audit, external auditors, compliance, and risk teams to support audits, examinations, and investor reviews.
- Identify reporting issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive timely remediation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement- Work closely with loan servicing operations, accounting, treasury, and technology teams to ensure data integrity across systems and reports.
- Support onboarding of new investors, portfolios, and securitizations from an investor reporting perspective.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability initiatives to support growth of the servicing platform.
- Provide senior management with insights into portfolio performance, reporting risks, and operational trends.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in investor reporting, loan servicing, accounting, or a related function within commercial loan servicing, mortgage servicing, or structured finance.
- Strong understanding of commercial loan servicing operations, securitizations, trust reporting, and investor remittance processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex, deadline-driven reporting functions.
- Deep knowledge of servicing agreements, PSAs, and investor reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred- CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Experience working with third-party subservicers.
- Experience with commercial servicing platforms and reporting systems.
- Prior experience supporting rating agencies, external audits, or regulatory examinations.
- Experience driving reporting automation or transformation initiatives.
