Overview

The Vice President, Intelligence directs the design and execution of how enterprise marketing insights are synthesized, prioritized, and translated into decision ready inputs to inform direction and decision-making and external amplification of curated insights. Engages with intersectional data inputs across the enterprise to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide holistic decision making. Oversees the evaluation of programs and business priorities to identify improvements and to measure outcomes. Cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with senior leadership and builds a learning agenda based on stated needs.

Responsibilities

  • Transforms complex datasets, both primary and secondary, into clear, compelling narratives and actionable insights that shape strategy, audience development, and opportunities across enterprise priorities.
  • Develops an annual research agenda for the department plans based on voiced and inferred needs of the enterprise and optimizes impact with the available resources.
  • Liaises and collaborates with leaders/stakeholders from across the enterprise to apply marketplace and consumer insights that may inform policies, advocacy positions, business strategies, and product or program development, to drive strategies and decisions.
  • Meets with leadership from across the organization to hear evolving needs and assess the value of insights produced by the team. Participates in external committees and/or forums to share, learn, and apply best practices. Owns the testing and experimentation agenda, including test design, learning priorities to scale what works across the business unit.
  • Leads selected strategic initiatives with material impact to the enterprise. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop scenarios and translate consumer and marketplace insights into long-term goals and strategic plans to ensure continued success in growth and profitability.
  • Oversees key market intelligence and insights to provide input to planning and enables effective strategic, tactical and operational decision-making.
  • Identifies emerging trends, competitive threats, and whitespace opportunities to guide long-term strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in market research, consumer insights, business intelligence, strategy, analytics, or related disciplines, including responsibility for enterprise-level research and decision support.
  • Demonstrated success synthesizing complex quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making.
  • Proven experience developing and leading enterprise research agendas, intelligence programs, or strategic learning initiatives that inform business priorities, audience growth, product development, and organizational strategy.
  • Strong expertise in consumer research, marketplace intelligence, trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and performance measurement, with the ability to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and shifts in consumer behavior.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to translate consumer, market, and operational insights into strategic plans, business cases, policy recommendations, and enterprise priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and oversee testing, experimentation, and measurement frameworks that evaluate program effectiveness, generate actionable learning, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record leading high-impact strategic initiatives, influencing organizational direction, and leveraging insights to support long-term growth, innovation, audience engagement, and business performance.
