As VP of Food, you will lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of TA's food business, including quick-service restaurants, full-service restaurants, and deli offerings across the travel center network.

You will be responsible for creating a compelling food experience for professional drivers and highway travelers by shaping menu strategy, driving operational excellence, improving profitability, and identifying opportunities to grow sales and guest engagement. Working closely with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Merchandising leaders, you will ensure TA's food programs remain competitive, financially successful, and aligned with the needs of our customers.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a large-scale, multi-format food business and influence one of the most important elements of TA's customer proposition.

What you will deliver
  • Own the integrated TA food proposition across QSR, full-service restaurants and deli, ensuring decisions are aligned to guest needs, footprint capacity and operating realities.
  • Set the strategic direction for menu, format, daypart and food offer decisions to improve commercial performance and customer relevance.
  • Bring together food concepts that compete for the same guest, kitchen, labor and site footprint so trade-offs are made deliberately and consistently.
  • Partner with operations to improve execution, profitability, labor deployment and consistency across TA food formats.
  • Use customer, category, operational, and financial insight to prioritize the food initiatives that create the greatest business impact.
  • Build clear ways of working with merchandising, supply chain, marketing, finance, operations and site teams to support speed, accountability and delivery.
  • Develop the team, capabilities and routines needed to support a focused TA food agenda and sustained performance improvement.
What you will need to be successful
  • Significant leadership experience in food, restaurant, QSR, convenience retail, travel center, hospitality or a closely related multi-site food environment.
  • Strong commercial understanding of food proposition management, menu strategy, operations, labor, guest experience and profitability.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-format food businesses or portfolios with accountability for outcomes across strategy and execution.
  • Ability to connect customer insight, category performance, site operations and financial discipline into clear business priorities.
  • Proven stakeholder leadership across operations, merchandising, supply chain, marketing, finance and field teams.
  • Strong judgement, pace and accountability orientation, with the ability to make trade-offs in a complex, operationally intensive environment.

You will work with

You will work with the TA CEO, operations, merchandising, supply chain, marketing, finance, site leaders and broader TA leadership team. About BP

BP p.l.c. is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, England. It is one of the oil and gas "supermajors" and one of the world's largest companies measured by revenues and profits. It is a vertically integrated company operating in all areas of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and extraction, refining, distribution and marketing, power generation, and trading. BP's origins date back to the founding of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company in 1908, established as a subsidiary of Burmah Oil Company to exploit oil discoveries in Iran. In 1935, it became the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and in 1954, adopted the name British Petroleum. In 1959, the company expanded beyond the Middle East to Alaska. British Petroleum acquired majority control of Standard Oil of Ohio in 1978. Formerly majority state-owned, the British government privatised the company in stages between 1979 and 1987. British Petroleum merged with Amoco in 1998, becoming BP Amoco plc, and acquired ARCO and Burmah Castrol in 2000 and Aral AG in 2002. The company's name was shortened to BP p.l.c. in 2001. From 2003 to 2013, BP was a partner in the TNK-BP joint venture in Russia, and from 2013 until Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine, held a nearly 20% stake in Rosneft.
