Based in Sparks, Maryland and reporting directly to CFO Amol Chaubal, the Vice President, Finance for the $2.2B
Waters Advanced Diagnostics Division will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Division President,
acting as a true co-pilot in driving performance, growth, and value creation. Waters Advanced Diagnostics-
comprised of microbiology, molecular diagnostics, LC-MS-based multiplex testing, automation solutions, and
point-of-care testing-operates in highly regulated, high-impact clinical environments with significant
opportunities for expansion and innovation.
This role carries full financial leadership responsibility for the division, including P&L oversight, commercial
finance, R&D investment governance, operational performance, capital allocation, and strategic planning. The
VP, Finance will play a central role in shaping business strategy, enabling data-driven decision-making, and
ensuring disciplined execution across growth initiatives, cost structure optimization, and margin expansion. As a
key member of both the Division Leadership Team and the CFO Leadership Team, this leader will influence
critical decisions spanning pricing, portfolio strategy, go-to-market investments, and long-range planning.
The position requires a highly engaged finance leader who can seamlessly connect strategy with execution-
translating complex data into clear insights, challenging assumptions, and proactively identifying opportunities
and risks. The role will also partner closely with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, and executive leadership
to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and effective communication of financial performance and
outlook.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Divisional Financial Leadership & P&L Ownership: Serve as the senior finance leader for the $2.2B Advanced
Diagnostics Division, with full responsibility for financial performance, including revenue growth, margin
expansion, cost discipline, and cash flow. Act as a true co-pilot to the Division President, driving
accountability and delivering on financial commitments.
. Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead all aspects of the division's financial planning processes,
including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic plans. Ensure alignment with enterprise
priorities while translating strategy into actionable financial targets and operational plans.
. Commercial & R&D Decision Support: Partner closely with commercial and R&D leadership to evaluate
investments, pricing strategies, portfolio decisions, and go-to-market initiatives. Provide rigorous financial
analysis to optimize resource allocation, accelerate growth, and enhance returns on innovation.
. Operational Finance & Business Execution: Drive day-to-day financial leadership of the business, proactively
identifying risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions, and ensuring disciplined execution against
operating plans. Embed finance deeply into business rhythms to enable real-time, data-driven decision making.
. S&OP and Demand/Supply Alignment: Provide financial leadership across Sales & Operations Planning
(S&OP), ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, supply plans, inventory management, and financial
outcomes. Partner with operations to optimize working capital, service levels, and cost efficiency.
. Performance Management, Data & Analytics: Establish robust financial and operational dashboards, KPIs,
and management cockpits that provide clear visibility into business performance. Drive a culture of
transparency, accountability, and insight through high-quality data, analytics, and reporting.
. Capital Allocation & Investment Governance: Lead disciplined capital allocation across the division, including
capex, productivity initiatives, and strategic investments. Ensure strong ROI frameworks and postinvestment
tracking to maximize value creation.
. Cross-Functional & Corporate Partnership: Collaborate closely with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations,
and other enterprise functions to ensure alignment with broader company objectives, consistent messaging,
and seamless integration of divisional performance into enterprise reporting.
. Team Leadership & Talent Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization
within the division. Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and talent development,
creating a strong pipeline of future finance leaders.
. Proven Divisional CFO / P&L Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading finance for a large,
complex business (>$1B revenue), with full P&L ownership and accountability for growth, profitability, and
cash flow. Track record of serving as a true business partner and co-pilot to a Division President or GM.
. Exceptional Analytical Acumen: Outstanding ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data into
clear, actionable insights that drive business-critical decisions. Strong problem-solving orientation with
intellectual rigor and attention to detail.
. Comprehensive Financial & Operational Expertise: Minimum of 15+ years of progressive finance leadership
experience within large, matrixed organizations. Deep expertise across commercial finance, FP&A, pricing,
and investment decision support, as well as strong exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and
operational finance.
. Strategic and Operational Leadership Balance: Ability to operate seamlessly between long-term strategic
planning and day-to-day operational execution. Proven capability to shape strategy while driving disciplined
execution and delivering results in dynamic business environments.
. Commercial & R&D Business Partnership: Experience partnering with commercial and innovation
organizations to evaluate growth investments, portfolio strategy, and go-to-market decisions. Strong
understanding of how to allocate capital to maximize return and accelerate innovation-driven growth.
. Global Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success leading global finance teams across multiple
geographies, with the ability to navigate complexity, drive alignment, and operate effectively in diverse
markets and cultures.
. Performance Management & Value Creation Mindset: Strong orientation toward driving top-quartile
performance through rigorous KPI management, cost discipline, productivity initiatives, and margin
expansion. External benchmarking mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
. Operational Finance & S&OP Expertise: Experience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP),
demand/supply alignment, inventory optimization, and working capital management within a complex
operating environment.
. Technology & Data-Driven Leadership: Tech-savvy finance leader with experience leveraging data, analytics,
and digital tools (including AI where applicable) to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve decision-making,
and drive operational efficiency.
. Proactive, Agile, and Results-Oriented Leadership: Highly proactive with a strong bias for action. Ability to
anticipate challenges, adapt quickly, and lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
. Collaborative & Influential Leadership Style: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and

. CFO Potential & Leadership Trajectory: Demonstrated potential and aspiration to progress into broader
enterprise finance leadership roles, including future CFO opportunities within a global public company.
. Industry Experience (Preferred): Experience in diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare, or similarly regulated
and innovation-driven industries is advantageous, but not required.
. Educational Background: MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred; professional certifications such as
CPA, CFA, or CMA are a plus.
