Overview
The Vice President of National Accounts - National Retail Sales (NRS) is responsible for the overall direction of sales strategy to increase business opportunities and generate revenue from key internal stakeholders and supplier partners. This role will be the primary point of contact for the SGWS NRS National Accounts team and drive the National Accounts performance, goals, and business relationships with Publix Supermarkets Corporately.
Primary Responsibilities
• Develop National Accounts NRS strategy with internal and external partners, drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI), targets and goals, and overall growth in key states of Florida, South Carolina and KY which are the states SGWS conducts business in with Publix Supermarkets.
• Manage and develop relationships with key decision makers; establish and maintain high-level executive contact with SGWS, Supplier Partner National Accounts teams and Publix executives focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train employees; coach, counsel and manage employees.
• Communicate National Accounts priorities to all relevant commercial teams, including regions, supplier management team, and commercial operations team.
• Develop, deploy, and track the execution of national programs across regions.
• Drive execution of and Supplier Partner programming through the SGWS National Accounts and teams and monitor compliance.
• Act as primary point of contact for SGWS National Accounts and Supplier Partners to manage issue resolution; resolve issues such as inventory concerns, price discrepancies, work with relevant Corporate, Regional, and State functions to resolve issues.
• Create and present sales analysis presentations to sell products and services to SGWS National Accounts, Supplier National Accounts teams, to deliver the desired results and expectations with Publix Supermarkets.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree plus ten years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ten years of supplier management experience in the wine & spirits industry
• Demonstrated experience direct sales and national account management with key customers and suppliers.
• Five years of demonstrated management experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulations in major states.
• Understanding of market dynamics and chain dynamics for wine & spirits
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite and software applications related to job functions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels in the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, and communications skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
Physical Demands
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine.
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
• Travel by automobile and/or air for extended periods.
