Description VP, Commercial PartnershipsMMIT is seeking a commercially driven, relationship-first executive to serve as VP, Commercial Partnerships. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, business development, and technology - one who sees opportunity where others see complexity, and who knows how to turn a conversation into a partnership that generates real, recurring value for both sides.
This role exists to identify, develop, and close non-traditional commercial relationships - ones where MMIT's data and capabilities become embedded in a third party's platform, solution, or sales motion. Whether that means a distribution agreement, a data licensing arrangement, a co-sell structure, or a deeper integration play, you will be the architect of deals that extend MMIT's reach into markets and segments we could not access alone. You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
The non-pharma market is the focus: companies serving providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, healthcare IT vendors, agencies, consultants, and adjacent organizations who need MMIT's data to make their own offerings more compelling. You will hunt for the right relationships, respond to inbound interest with speed and sophistication, and structure deals that create mutual upside - the kind of partnerships where both organizations generate more revenue together than they ever could independently.
This is not a traditional sales role and it is not a traditional business development role. It requires the instincts of both: the hunter who builds pipeline from nothing and the strategist who can see around corners to structure something that sticks.
Responsibilities:Partnership Identification & Business Development
- Proactively identify and pursue non-traditional commercial opportunities where MMIT data can be embedded into, distributed through, or leveraged by a third party's solutions or sales motions.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective channel partners, OEM relationships, data licensees, and co-sell candidates across the non-pharma healthcare ecosystem.
- Respond to inbound partnership inquiries with a consultative, structured approach - quickly diagnosing the opportunity and determining the right commercial model.
- Develop a deep understanding of the non-pharma landscape - including providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, healthcare IT companies, agencies, and consultants - and map MMIT's capabilities to their most pressing commercial needs.
- Represent MMIT in external forums, industry events, and strategic conversations that generate visibility and inbound partnership interest.
Deal Architecture & Commercial Structuring
- Lead the end-to-end development of bespoke partnership agreements, including deal structuring, negotiation, and commercial modeling - ensuring terms reflect the mutual value being created.
- Work with legal, finance, and product to ensure deal structures are executable and sustainable, and that they protect MMIT's data assets while enabling partner success.
- Design commercial frameworks where MMIT data becomes a durable, revenue-generating component of a partner's offering - not a one-time transaction.
- Evaluate partnership opportunities through a rigorous lens: what incremental revenue does this unlock? What does the client gain? What does MMIT gain that it could not achieve through direct sales alone?
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Legal, and Operations to align partnership structures with MMIT's overall go-to-market strategy and data governance standards.
- Serve as an internal advocate for the non-pharma segment - bringing market intelligence, client feedback, and partnership learnings back into the organization to inform product direction and commercial strategy.
- Collaborate with Solution Consulting and Marketing to develop partner-facing materials, use cases, and enablement assets that help partners sell MMIT's capabilities effectively into their own client base.
- Act as a bridge between MMIT's internal capabilities and the external market - translating what MMIT does into compelling value propositions that resonate with non-pharma buyers and partners.
Relationship Management & Partner Success
- Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations - positioning yourself and MMIT as indispensable to their long-term commercial success.
- Oversee the health and performance of active partnerships, ensuring commitments are met, revenue targets are tracked, and the relationship continues to grow.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing partnerships and develop strategies to deepen integration and mutual dependency over time.
Qualifications:- 15+ years of experience in healthcare business development, partnerships, commercial strategy, or a closely adjacent field - with demonstrated success building relationships that create shared revenue upside.
- Deep fluency in healthcare and health tech - you understand how providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, healthcare IT companies, agencies, and consultants think, buy, and sell.
- A track record of structuring and closing complex, bespoke commercial arrangements - OEM agreements, data licensing, channel partnerships, co-sell arrangements, or embedded solutions.
- Experience negotiating across the full spectrum of organizational scale - from early-stage start-ups to multi-billion-dollar enterprises - with the adaptability to tailor approach, terms, and expectations to each counterparty.
- Hunter mentality with the sophistication to close - you are equally comfortable generating pipeline from nothing and navigating a complex, multi-stakeholder deal to close.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen - you can model deal economics, articulate mutual value, and structure agreements that hold up over time.
- Experience working at the intersection of data and technology - familiarity with how data assets are packaged, licensed, and monetized within software and commercial platforms.
- Exceptional relationship skills - the kind of professional who earns trust quickly, is remembered after one meeting, and becomes the person partners call first.
- Ability to work fluidly across internal functions - Legal, Product, Finance, Sales - and bring alignment without authority.
- Experience in or exposure to pharmaceutical market access, payer data, or healthcare analytics is a meaningful plus.
- Experience working with leading AI companies such as Anthropic and/or OpenAI is a plus.
