As a VP, Commercial Loan Officer, you'll develop and manage a high-quality commercial loan portfolio while building meaningful relationships with business owners, professionals, and community partners. You'll work closely with members to understand their goals, assess financial needs, and create customized financing solutions that support both their immediate needs and long-term success.

We're seeking an experienced, community-minded lending professional who excels at relationship building, business development, financial analysis, business and delivering exceptional member service.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll manage the full commercial lending process-from prospecting and relationship development to loan structuring, approval, and closing. Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and structure creative commercial lending solutions based on member needs, risk, relationship value, and profitability.
  • Advise members on financing decisions and financial strategies by analyzing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow projections, tax returns, and other financial information.
  • Build and manage a high-quality commercial loan portfolio while meeting growth, production, profitability, and credit quality goals.
  • Develop new commercial relationships through networking, referrals, cold and warm outreach, community involvement, and other business development activities.
  • Promote and sell commercial loan products while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships through additional products and services.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with business owners and decision-makers by understanding their businesses, industries, and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with credit analysts and other internal partners to review, structure, and present credit requests while participating in the decision-making process.
  • Structure loan terms, prepare credit proposals, and ensure lending decisions comply with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and take appropriate action to address delinquency, deteriorating financial conditions, or other credit concerns.
  • Participate in business and community organizations, networking events, and other activities that strengthen Town & Country Credit Union's presence in the commercial community.
  • Regularly meet with members and prospects at their businesses or other locations to understand their operations, assess needs, and strengthen relationships.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Agricultural Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of commercial banking, commercial lending, business ownership, or related financial experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit principles, financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Strong financial and mathematical skills, including loan amortization, interest calculations, debt service coverage, and collateral evaluation.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and build long-term relationships with business owners and commercial clients.
  • Proven ability to build trust and long-term relationships with members.
