Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the Role

To lead and oversee the banks collections operations, ensuring the effective recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to minimize delinquency rates and managing a team of collections professionals ensuring that collection representatives comply with bank policies and collections laws and regulations nationwide.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor.
  • Supervise and monitor the work of a team to ensure that processes and procedures are properly implemented and that the team is achieving defined objectives and standards including call distribution, employee productivity, quality and effectiveness of collections strategies and techniques.
  • Provide coaching to team members with questions/concerns on individual accounts.
  • Resolve challenges from internal or external customers by providing information on complex processes.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good practice.
  • Assess individual performance, conduct performance evaluations, and manage salary adjustments.
  • Provide recommendations for new hires or replacements based on thorough interviews to assess the candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Provides constructive and timely performance reviews. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrates comprehensive skill to express ideas, request actions, formulate plans, and policies by means of clear and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Functions with high expertise to interpret and apply knowledge of laws and regulations.
  • Works with full competence to monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures and ensure their alignment with organizational strategies and work objectives.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), various state statutes and laws, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Strong understanding of the loan process and related systems is required. Full knowledge of the bankruptcy process is also essential.
