  • Serve as one of the primary legal advisors to development, production, business and creative executives, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice throughout the lifecycle of active projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to structure, negotiate and close business transactions while balancing legal, creative, production and business objectives.
  • Manage chain of title and rights clearance for Hasbro intellectual property and third-party properties across development, production, distribution and ancillary exploitation.
  • Advise on rights management, copyright, intellectual property, guild and union matters, production legal issues, and legal risk management.
  • Advise on production financing, co-production, distribution, licensing and other strategic commercial transactions relating to Hasbro Entertainment's content portfolio.
  • Prepare and negotiate amendments, waivers, settlement agreements and other production-related documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, studios, networks, streamers, production companies, talent representatives and other third-party partners.
  • Support copyright registrations and other intellectual property protection initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate deal summaries, rights databases and chain-of-title records to support ongoing productions and library management.
  • Conduct legal and business research and provide concise, practical guidance on emerging legal, production and commercial issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies while balancing creative, production and commercial priorities.

What You'll Bring
  • 8-12+ years of relevant business and legal affairs experience at a major studio, network, streamer, production company and/or nationally recognized entertainment law firm.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Significant experience negotiating and drafting sophisticated entertainment transactions across film and television development, production, financing and distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property, chain of title, copyright, guild and union agreements (including WGA, DGA and SAG-AFTRA), production legal issues and rights management.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while exercising sound legal and business judgment.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, analytical and communication skills with outstanding attention to detail.
