ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and visionary executive to lead growth across our Health State and Local (HSL) Sector, specifically focused on Health and/or State and Local. This Vice President will architect and execute transformative growth strategies to expand Peraton’s footprint across the Health and/or SLED markets.This leader will spearhead strategic business development, capture, and partner engagement initiatives to secure and scale new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be an innovator and change agent—cultivating top-tier customer relationships, driving competitive captures, and instilling a high-performance, mission-first culture of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute bold, data-informed growth strategies that drive Peraton’s State and Local market share and accelerate pipeline development across current and future accounts.
- Team Empowerment: Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing team of business development, capture, and solution professionals. Set a tone of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
- Market Expansion: Shape and pursue a robust portfolio of opportunities—including new business, expansion, and recompetes—targeting programs of high value.
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Cultivate strategic, trust-based relationships with senior government officials, policymakers, and industry partners to anticipate needs and co-create mission-aligned solutions.
- Integrated Capture Execution: Oversee full lifecycle growth operations—from opportunity identification through proposal—ensuring capture excellence and coordinated execution across contracts, finance, HR, and delivery teams.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline aligned with sector priorities. Leverage market intelligence, competitive analysis, and internal capabilities to maximize win rates.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 16 years’ experience, with at least 10 years in senior growth, business development, or capture leadership roles in government contracting.
- Demonstrated success leading and winning large-scale federal contracts.including complex solutions and recompete efforts.
- Deep familiarity with Health and/or State and Local ecosystems, including key stakeholders, acquisition processes, and competitive landscape.
- Established and trusted relationships across integrators and OEM partner ecosystem.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide growth strategies and capture operations that directly influence sector and corporate revenue.
- Passion for innovation and transformation with experience leveraging modern technologies including AI, cloud, cyber, and mission applications.
- Demonstrated leadership in building and mentoring high-performing teams in dynamic and competitive environments.
- US citizenship
Preferred Attributes:
- MBA or advanced degree in business, public policy, engineering, or related field.
Target Salary Range$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
