  • Develop strategies for building consumer relationships and community engagement through the cafe.
  • Formulate a PR and editorial strategy to establish brand presence in key publications.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse marketing team to foster creative ambition and accountability.

The Role

We are hiring a VP of Brand & Marketing to lead the next chapter of Local Eclectic. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. This role will own brand, growth, retention, retail marketing, and creative. You will own how Local Eclectic shows up across every customer touchpoint - site, social, paid media, email, SMS, in-store, press, and partnerships.

We are evolving from an online only DTC business into an omnichannel, multi-brand jewelry house with physical retail, a cafe and growing wholesale business. We are hiring a leader with a strong creative point of view, exceptional taste, and the operational rigor to deliver against aggressive growth targets while opening our first flagship store.
What You Will Own
Brand & Creative Execution
  • Partner with our Founder to translate her creative vision into a unified, elevated brand expression across every customer touchpoint.
  • Operate as the senior creative steward of the brand. You will be responsible for setting the standard, holding the team and our partners to it, and ensuring consistency across photography, video, site, packaging, retail, content, and campaigns.
  • Bring a strong, opinionated point of view on execution. You will push the work and push the team for excellence.
  • Ensure that each of our 5 proprietary in house brands show up with clarity and a unique point of view in the market and ladders cleanly to the parent brand.
  • Own and help to elevate the brand voice, vocabulary, and storytelling as we scale from an online only DTC brand to an omnichannel brand
Growth & Performance Marketing
  • Own the full-funnel growth strategy across paid media (Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok), retention (email, SMS, app, push), and organic social.
  • Drive profitable top-line revenue growth while protecting margin and CAC.
  • Set and manage marketing P&L, channel mix, and weekly customer acquisition, retention and social performance review.
  • Build the retention and CRM engine that converts our strong repeat purchase rate into category leading LTV.
Retail & Experiential Marketing
  • Lead all marketing for the launch of our 212 E. Ontario flagship store and cafe - opening, press, partnerships, events, and ongoing in store marketing programming.
  • Build the bridge between online and in-store: clienteling, CRM integration, geo-targeted acquisition, and a flagship experience that reinforces the brand.
  • Own the cafe as a brand expression - programming, content, and community.
PR, Press & Partnerships
  • Build a PR and editorial strategy that gets Local Eclectic into the right publications and in the right cultural conversations.
  • Lead celebrity, stylist, and creator relationships, including gifting, seeding, and partnership strategy.
Wholesale & Channel Marketing
  • Partner with our wholesale leadership to elevate how Local Eclectic and our proprietary brands show up with our retailers and future accounts.
  • Develop a point of view on co-branded marketing and buyer-facing brand materials.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and shape a marketing team currently spanning paid acquisition, retention, art direction, photo production, social, dev and merchandising operations.
  • Help to build our team as we continue to scale - including a senior retention/CRM leader, social media manager and a retail and experiential marketing manager.
  • Establish performance standards, accountability metrics, and a culture of creative ambition.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years in brand and marketing leadership at a high-growth DTC, fashion, beauty, or jewelry company. Multi-brand portfolio experience is a strong plus.
  • You are an entrepreneurial, self starter that has experience independently identifying opportunities and solutions to problems.
  • You have led marketing through a physical retail launch and understand how brand, store, and digital reinforce one another.
  • You have experience building and managing teams.
  • You have exceptional taste and strong creative instincts. You bring strong opinions and push the work, while honoring that the creative north star is set by the Founder.
  • You operate with urgency and flexibility. You can move fast, prioritize, and lead through a high-growth, high-stakes environment without losing rigor.
  • You have managed P&L responsibility for a marketing function.
