As the leader of P&C Advanced Pricing and Segmentation, you will be responsible for setting the strategy and advancing the capabilities that strengthen analytics, automation, and system capabilities across P&C Finance, Actuarial, and key business partners. You will provide strong thought leadership and set the long-term vision for the future of analytical tools, new capabilities, and cross-functional improvements that improve decision-making, simplify processes, and build a strong, high-performing culture. This role requires deep strategic thinking and vision setting, strong technical expertise, and the ability to influence across a complex organization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and executes the vision, strategy, and roadmap for P&C Finance actuarial analytics and transformation work, advancing analytical capabilities, automation, and system modernization across the organization.
Ensures alignment with business leaders, Technology, the Enterprise Data Office, and cross-functional leaders to ensure prioritization of pricing sophistication efforts.
Identifies the appropriate tools, data, resources, and provides other considerations (e.g., regulatory, industry practice) for driving decisions that achieve target returns.
Leads the design and implementation of deep analytical tools, new capabilities, and scalable process improvements that strengthen insight generation, automation, system solutions, decision support, and operational effectiveness.
Challenges historical processes and drives workflow, reporting, and system improvements that reduce complexity, increase efficiency, and improve speed to decision.
Influences senior leaders on priorities, investments, risks, and change implications, while overseeing execution, organizational readiness, communication, and adoption of strategic initiatives.
Stays current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advanced actuarial methods, applying those insights to strengthen capabilities and inform strategic direction.
Builds a strong, inclusive, and high-performing culture by developing technical talent, fostering innovation and collaboration, and driving accountability for results.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: This job reports to VP, P&C Chief Actuary People leader: Manages team of 4 direct reports with total team up to 25 actuaries and analytic professionals
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, or related field.
License/Certification/Designation: FCAS Required
Experience: Typically, ten or more years of financial experience, with at least 5-8 years of post-FCAS experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Must have deep knowledge in finance and pricing processes underlying P&C products. Must have knowledge across a wide variety of P&C products. Must exhibit strong influence, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Must demonstrate process design and improvement skills, strong project management and change management skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
