VCP 5/6 certification required; additional VMware training and certifications preferred

Job Description
Basic responsibilities will include:
Perform daily, hands-on Operations & Maintenance on vSphere 6.x infrastructure with an emphasis on tasks related to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure specifically Horizon (VDI) version 7
Design of Cloud POD architecture
Perform standard changes and provide escalation support for complex technical issues per ITIL methodologies
Design, build, plan, and implement VMware-based virtual infrastructure in accordance with best practices for servers and desktops within global data centers and
Provide input on existing system designs and automated processes improvements
Experience defining standard operating procedures
Experience with vMotion, DRS, HA, and other advanced vSphere features and toolsets
Strong understanding of Microsoft-based technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Systems Center vCenter 6.5 experience
Experience with native firewall within vCenter
Qualifications
