If you answered yes then we might have a home here for you at Splunk! The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for expanding and growing territories for Splunk. You will use your sales, negotiation and leadership skills to prospect, and conduct lead generation techniques and sell Splunk's award-winning software into well-known/ brand named companies. You have a consistent record of selling software or services and you know how to build beneficial, positive relationships with customers.
Your Impact- Follow up with inbound leads and provide status updates through the company CRM system.
- Conduct outbound prospecting and lead generation.
- Qualify leads and schedule product demos for customers.
- Display a real passion for running accounts by building and fostering client relationships through personalized contact, understanding of client's needs, and ability to communicate solution values of products and services.
- Accurately forecast opportunities based upon realistic assessments.
- Meet/exceed assigned revenue goals.
- Partner with field sales representatives in various geo/territories. Support attendance to all field marketing events to include, but not limited to Splunk Lives, our National Users Conference and all regional trade shows.
Minimum Qualifications- At least one year of sales experience
Preferred Qualifications- Experience selling enterprise IT solutions (BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software or networking performance).
- Previously worked in software company.
- Developed and cultivated new business and managed the entire sales cycle from lead generation to close
- Proven track record of exceeding annual sales quotas.
- Technical experience using CRM system, Word, Excel, and SalesForce.
- Prioritized and completed multiple tasks by consistently meeting deadlines

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:
New York City Metro Area:
$128,800.00 - $187,100.00
Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:
$124,200.00 - $180,400.00
* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
