Video Production Specialist, GlobalAbout the RoleThe Video Production Specialist, Global supports the end-to-end production and delivery of high-quality video content for CFA Institute initiatives - spanning educational, promotional, and internal communications formats. Working under the direction of the Director, Multimedia Production, you'll contribute to editing, asset organization, studio operations, and production workflow execution as part of a fast-paced, collaborative global team.
This is an early-career role, ideal for someone with foundational technical skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine growth mindset. It's based in Charlottesville, VA and works closely with the global Multimedia Production team to ensure consistent, on-brand delivery of video products.
What You'll Do- Edit video content in Adobe Premiere Pro - including trimming, sequencing, audio sync, basic color correction, and export prep across multiple formats and platforms.
- Support the creation of graphics, lower thirds, and on-screen text overlays; assist with motion graphics using Adobe After Effects.
- Apply captioning and accessibility standards to video deliverables in line with CFA Institute brand and compliance requirements.
- Assist with studio recording sessions, including camera setup, lighting, teleprompter operation, and audio equipment prep.
- Provide technical support for virtual, webinar, and hybrid productions, including asset prep, media playback, and platform coordination.
- Help maintain and inventory studio equipment, flagging maintenance needs as they arise.
- Organize, label, and archive media assets according to established file management conventions; prepare review cuts and support project handoffs.
- Collaborate with team members across time zones to ensure deliverables meet technical specifications and brand standards.
- Actively build your skills in more advanced areas of production - such as color grading, audio design, and motion graphics - as workload allows.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- 1-2 years of professional or internship experience in video production or post-production.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop preferred.
- Familiarity with studio production workflows, including camera operation, lighting, and basic audio recording.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to polished, on-brand work.
- Effective time management, with the ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across a distributed team.
- Self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and handle feedback constructively.
- Proficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience in a professional, nonprofit, academic, or corporate environment is a plus.

In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: $72,000 - $96,000 per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position including location. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a 401(k) or pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
