Full Job Description
The Video Conference Specialist provides senior-level technical support for enterprise video conferencing, virtual collaboration, and conference-room audiovisual services. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-quality communication experiences by independently configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving video conferencing platforms, room systems, and related equipment.

The specialist supports high-visibility leadership briefings, virtual training sessions, and client-facing meetings while coordinating with IT, facilities, and external vendors to maintain service availability and equipment readiness. This role also develops user guidance, monitors platform and room-system performance, resolves complex technical issues, and recommends improvements that enhance the virtual meeting experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, support, and optimize enterprise video conferencing and unified communications platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and other approved collaboration tools.
  • Configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot conference-room audiovisual systems, including cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, control systems, room schedulers, and related connectivity components.
  • Provide live, white-glove technical support for leadership briefings, virtual training sessions, client-facing meetings, and other high-visibility events to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex audio, video, device, platform, access, and network-connectivity issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and sound technical judgment.
  • Coordinate with IT operations, facilities personnel, and external vendors to support equipment installation, replacement, upgrades, repairs, inventory, and lifecycle-management activities.
  • Monitor conferencing platform performance, room-system availability, usage metrics, and recurring technical issues; identify root causes and recommend or implement service improvements.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, quick-reference materials, training content, standard operating procedures, and best-practice documentation for conferencing platforms and audiovisual technology.
  • Support secure virtual meeting operations by applying approved platform configurations, access controls, user permissions, and security procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior support personnel and contribute to enterprise support-process improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, Audio Visual Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible technical support experience supporting end users, computer hardware, software, peripherals, and enterprise collaboration technologies.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting unified communications and video conferencing platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, or comparable enterprise collaboration solutions.
  • Experience configuring, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual and conference-room equipment, including cameras, microphones, displays, speakers, room systems, and associated connectivity components.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues involving audio, video, endpoints, software, network connectivity, device interoperability, and user access.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, user guidance, and training materials, and providing technical direction or informal mentorship to junior support personnel.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to maintain a Top Secret clearance as required for the position.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing live technical support for executive-level meetings, leadership briefings, large virtual events, client demonstrations, or virtual training environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration services, Microsoft Teams administration, or enterprise unified communications environments.
  • Experience coordinating audiovisual equipment lifecycle activities, inventory management, vendor support, facilities coordination, and technology refresh efforts.
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices, including incident management, problem management, asset management, change coordination, and service-level expectations.
