Your mission

The US Vice President - Value and Access is a key member of Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals Inc. leadership team. Reporting directly to theChief Commercial Officer, the incumbent is responsible for securing and enabling patient access to our portfolio of products across all payer and relevant distribution channels, while maximizing value to PFP. Incumbent will develop and support the execution of strategies for securing pricing, coverage, and reimbursement for company portfolio. The VP of Value and Access' primary priority is to support the successful launch and commercialization of cell therapy (tabelecleucel) and future rare disease therapies from the value and access standpoint. The VP of Value and access will be focused on delivering access to innovative solutions for complex patients suffering from a devastating rare disease, Epstein-Barr Virus Positive Post Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disease (EBV+ PTLD). Patients with a history of bone marrow or solid organ transplant can suffer from this rare, often deadly lymphoma, which currently has no approved FDA therapies.

Activities conducted by the Vice President - Value and Access will include but are not limited to direct leadership of dynamic team of V&A Access professionals, development of payer value proposition, reimbursement strategy, HEOR strategy, distribution and trade policy. Incumbent will be accountable for establishing metrics to monitor patient access and for refining strategies and programs accordingly to optimize access and enable commercial success.

Given the complexities of cell therapy, this role will play a critical part in addressing site of care dynamics, centers of excellence networks, single case agreements, and distribution network expansion to enable broad access across both academic and community centers. This role requires a thorough understanding of the complexities of the US Healthcare system as related to advanced therapies, orphan drugs and across sites of care (inpatient/ outpatient).

This leader will work in close collaboration with multiple internal partners such as Patient Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Global Value & Access organization, marketing, Technical Operations, Clinical Development, Global Value & Access and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The role will include direct leadership of an existing, small Value & Access team with the goal to build out a best-in-class organization and capability


  • Hiring and performance management of VA team


  • Act as the organizational expert on government pricing and accountable for setting the overall access/ pricing strategy for Tab-Cel


  • Accountable for the development, management, and tracking of objectives and budgets. Supports the business objectives of Tab-Cel commercialization, patient access, reimbursement, and health systems strategy insights.


  • The incumbent will have ultimate accountability for evidence development/dissemination strategies and execution of US value access strategies


  • Enables value & access and commercial success by reflecting the needs of non-clinical stakeholders into lifecycle evidence of value and value & access strategies for business unit


  • Successful candidate will work closely with multiple cross-functional partners across the Pierre Fabre Pharmaceutical organization including global partners

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related discipline


  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Value Access (Market Access) + HEOR including 3-5 years of leadership experience


  • Critical experience includes pricing and contracting strategies for medical and pharmacy benefit products


  • Successful track record of developing and executing against launch plan/long range plans


  • Demonstrated experience in Cell or gene therapy


  • Proven formal leadership experience leading and developing and scaling key talent highly preferred


  • Deep knowledge of US Medicare, commercial and Federal payers, complex reimbursement methodologies and perspectives, and current health policy trends


  • Deep knowledge of global evidence requirements that impact reimbursement and market access


  • High capacity to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas at varying levels of the organization


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree in health economics or outcomes research or healthcare related field preferred


  • Rare disease or oncology experience


  • Enterprise mind set


  • Experience in oncology academic and community marketplace for Part B products


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • NJ preferred; hybrid (2 days/week in Secaucus office). Open to remote candidates, depending on experience and business needs.
  • Up to 30% domestic travel required, with occasional international travel.
  • If employee is remotely located, regular overnight travel to headquarters will be required (Secaucus, NJ)

Compensation and Benefits:

Anticipated Salary Range: $320,000 - $390,000

This range represents the base annual full-time salary for all positions within the applicable job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on a range of factors including experience, education, location, and other relevant qualifications. This position is also eligible for a Pierre Fabre bonus, commission, or incentive program in addition to the base pay.
