Full Job Description
Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity to join Oaktree's FX team. The AVP or VP of foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate risk management will play an essential role in growing and supporting a centralized foreign currency trading function.

Responsibilities include:
  • Monitor and execute currency trades across multiple strategies, funds, and separate accounts
  • Ensure all FX trading procedures, regulations and credit limits are followed and apply trading strategies to reduce or minimize trading costs
  • Serve as an advisory partner on FX and interest rate hedging strategies and build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and banks
  • Formulate strategies to mitigate FX, interest rate, and other financial market risks using derivatives
  • Perform analysis on hedging strategies and PnL
  • Analyze global macro trends and data and contribute to the formation of market views
  • Liaise with investment, trade operations, finance, treasury, compliance, internal controls, tax, and accounting teams on corporate and fund transactions
  • Work with various groups to resolve any trade discrepancies
  • Benchmark with peers to identify and monitor industry and market events/trends
  • Deliver accurate and timely materials to be presented to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Partner with multiple stakeholder groups, including accounting, IT, trade support and operations, investment teams and compliance to develop and test enhancements to in-house FX application
  • Manage special projects related to improving execution workflow, reporting capabilities, or other value add activities
  • Perform other tasks and projects as necessary


Qualifications
  • 9-12+ years of FX experience (buy-side preferred)
  • FX trading or execution experience
  • Deep knowledge of FX and Interest Rate markets, sponsor hedging strategies (forwards, options, structured products), and operational processes
  • Familiarity with ISDA, CSA terms and process
  • Understand the impact of Dodd Frank and EMIR regulatory classification on trading
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Bloomberg - pulling and analyzing data
  • Experience with trading platforms (FXall, 360t, Bloomberg)
  • Knowledge of programming using Python or C++
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau
  • Familiarity working with large data sets

Education

A Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance and accounting. CFA a plus.
