The Opportunity
SHP is looking for a VP, Strategy & Transformation to lead a company-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) and AI transformation agenda. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the senior leadership team, this leader will drive the transformation of SHP's operating functions, in close partnership with leaders across Sales Operations, Implementation, Customer Support, Customer Success, Survey Operations, Finance, and Legal/Contracts. They will be responsible for defining future-state processes, conducting data analysis, applying AI and automation, managing the overall governance and transformation process, and building lasting Continuous Improvement capability across the organization.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who is energized by hands-on transformation work and knows how to make it stick; someone equally comfortable ideating on strategy and vision, running a Kaizen event with a frontline team, diving into quantitative analysis, standing up a governance process and driving execution, and coaching leaders through significant change.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead business transformation initiatives across all functions
• Define future-state processes and AI/ transformation roadmap
• Work collaboratively with functional teams to identify, prioritize, and sequence CI opportunities
• Manage cross-functional execution and governance for the CI/ transformation portfolio
• Lead in-depth data analysis to understand root causes, translate data into clear recommendations, and define quantifiable KPIs
• Personally lead change and transformation efforts for specific initiatives - both independently and in partnership with functional teams - applying CI methodology (Kaizen events, Structured Problem Solving)
• Build organizational CI capability by leading change management, training, and communication of CI methodology more broadly across SHP
What We're Looking For: Required
• 10+ years of experience in transformation and strategy, either In-House or as a Management Consultant for a leading Management Consulting firm (At least Engagement Manager-level experience or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Structured Problem Solving, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Track record of leading cross-functional transformation initiatives from design through execution, including governance of multi-workstream portfolios
• Proven change management and organizational capability-building skills; able to train and embed new ways of working across a broad, non-direct-report organization
• Strong executive presence with the ability to partner effectively with a CEO and senior leadership team, and to influence without direct authority
• Strong program management skills; able to manage a portfolio of initiatives, define measurable KPIs, and drive execution across cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort operating in ambiguity and translating data into clear recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive and board-level audiences
What We're Looking For: Preferred
• Familiarity with applying AI/automation to operational processes
• Experience scaling processes and teams within a growing technology company
• Experience operating within a private-equity- or strategic-owned company (e.g., portfolio company of a larger parent organization)
• Experience in healthcare, healthcare IT, or SaaS environments
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree
